Review ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleDeployment of Auction Theoretic Models for Spectrum Allocation in Cognitive Radio NetworksMonisha Devi, Nityananda Sarma, Sanjib Kr. DekaCognitive Radio (CR) is a novel technology which empowers the unlicensed users to opportunistically avail the free channels left unoccupied by the licensed owners. This apparently resolves the spectrum scarcity problem arising in today’s telecommunication industry. In this technology, once the free bands (called spectrum holes) are detected using sensing techniques, next there is a need to efficiently redistribute the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 5 · 21 May 2020 · 7,149 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Spectrum Sensing and Allocation Model for Primary User Detection and Interference Mitigation in Television WhitespacesJoachim Notcker, Emmanuel Adetiba et al.Television White Space (TVWS) emerges as an encouraging solution to address the challenge of a restricted wireless communication spectrum. It denotes the frequency range spanning from 54-790 MHz and researchers have increasingly explored its propagation characteristics in recent years. Nonetheless, a notable hindrance to its effective utilization lies in the interference between primary and secondary users, as well as interference … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 20, Issue 3 · 29 Jan 2024 · 5,234 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsComparison between Vertex Merge Algorithm and Dsatur AlgorithmHandrizal, A. Noraziah, Ahmed N. AbdallaProblem statement: In this study, the channel allocation problem in direct sequence spread spectrum was investigated. First, Coloring in channel allocation has been discussed in detail. Second; a new graph model is proposed that namely Vertex Merge Algorithm (VMA). Approach: VMA try to solve channel allocation based on graph theory. Results: The problem is to assign channel to Access Point … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 5 · 7 May 2011 · 7,260 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractReinforcement Learning in Financial Services: Modelling Payment Switching as a Multi-Armed Bandit ProblemIshaya Gambo, Christopher Agbonkhese, Segun Aina et al.The ever-evolving landscape of digital payments demands continuous innovation and self-improvement. This study addresses this imperative by simulating a model for payment routing, a crucial aspect of the digital payment ecosystem. To achieve this, industry professionals were interviewed to inform the approach, emphasizing data randomization for effective data collection. Using Python, a randomized dataset is created and three Reinforcement Learning … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 20, Issue 11 · 12 Oct 2024 · 4,717 accessesView PDF Cite
