Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleNew Projects Sharing Ratios under Musharakah Financing: A Repeated Game Theoretical Approach Using an Output versus a Proposed Effort Based ContractAdil Elfakir, Mohamed TkiouatIn this research, we provide a game theoretical approach of new projects financed under musharakah contracts using two types of contracts. The first type is effort based. It compensates the agent for the effort provided regardless of market conditions. The other type of contract is output based where the agent compensation is based solely on output realized. Our intuition is, … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 12, Issue 9 · 8 Oct 2015 · 7,422 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractRisk Factors for Bovine Tuberculosis Transmission in Burkina Faso’s Cattle HerdsArouna Zoungrana, Pingdwende Albert Patrick Vokouma, Badjibassa Akounda et al.Bovine tuberculosis is a zoonotic disease, primarily caused by Mycobacterium bovis, that poses a serious threat to both human and animal health. Understanding the risk factors that contribute to its spread is critical for developing effective prevention and control strategies. This cross-sectional study investigated risk factors associated with bovine tuberculosis in cattle herds in Burkina Faso. A structured survey questionnaire … …American Journal of Animal and Veterinary Sciences, Vol. 21, Issue 1 · 11 Apr 2026 · 1,402 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractCluster Based Data Consistency for Cooperative Caching over Partitionable Mobile Adhoc NetworkP. Kuppusamy, B. KalaavathiProblem statement: Data availability and consistency are foremost issues in Mobile Ad hoc Networks due to the absence of permanent infrastructure. Cooperative caching addresses the data availability issue through coordinating the mobile nodes and sharing the cache copies among them. In the meantime, the mobile node must ensure the staleness of cache copies. The consistency maintenance resolves the staleness of … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 8 · 10 Jul 2012 · 6,853 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPerformance Analysis of Rejection Ratio in Cost Optimized Virtual Private Networks Provisioning Algorithm (COVPA) Using Waxman and Barabasi Model in Cyber SpaceRamanathan Rajasekar, Ramaraj Ravi, Beulah ShekharProblem statement: Virtual private networks have provided customers with a secure and low-cost communication environment. Approach: The COVPA, the provisioning algorithm for a Virtual Private Network service, which built and managed VPNs on demand. Results: The COVPA allowed each VPN to have guaranteed resources and customized control and supported a highly dynamic VPN service where creation and modification operations took … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 2 · 28 Nov 2011 · 7,122 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractCache Management for Concurrent Transaction Execution in Mobile Wireless EnvironmentJ.C. Miraclin Joyce Pamila, K. ThanushkodiProblem statement: Improvement in mobile communication technology and increased capability of mobile devices has made transaction processing possible with mobile devices. Transactions access services provided by the data server connected to the packet data network. Direct data access may overload the network and server. Data items are cached to improve data availability. The cache should be managed and maintained effectively … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 3 · 7 Mar 2011 · 6,809 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractCollaborative Caching Architecture for Continuous Query in Mobile DatabaseMohamed Ahmed Elfaki, Hamidah Ibrahim, Ali Mamat, Mohamed OthmanProblem statement: Cooperative caching, which allows sharing and coordination of cached data among clients, is a potential technique to improve the data access performance and availability in mobile ad hoc networks. However, variable data sizes, frequent data updates, limited client resources, insufficient wireless bandwidth and client’s mobility make cache management faces many challenges. Approach: In this study, we propose a … …American Journal of Economics and Business Administration, Vol. 3, Issue 1 · 7 Jan 2011 · 8,875 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractROBUST MEMORY MANAGEMENT USING REAL TIME CONCEPTSV. Karthikeyan, S. Ravi, M. AnandMemory fragmentation is the development of a large number of separate free areas. Memory management in embedded systems demand effective implementation schemes to avoid fragmentation problem. Existing dynamic memory allocation methods fail to suit real time system requirements. Execution times need to be deterministic and this motivates the need for allocation and deallocation to be done in constant time with … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 8 · 1 Apr 2014 · 7,488 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDYNAMIC PLANNING BASED SCHEDULING APPROACH FOR WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKSM. Senthil Kumaran, R. RangarajanEnergy efficiency is an important issue in wireless sensor networks. A sensor node has a microprocessor and a small amount of memory for signal processing and task scheduling. Dynamic Planning is a method is used in this approach it combines the flexibility of dynamic scheduling with the predictability offered by schedulabilty check. Whenever a node wants to transmit data packet … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 10 · 5 Sep 2013 · 6,819 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordExtensive Analysis on Images Encryption using Hybrid Elliptic Curve Cryptosystem and Hill CipherSaniah Sulaiman, Zurina Mohd HanapiThe advancement of communication technology helps individual to share images through an Internet. However, the sharing through insecure channels may expose the images to certain attacks that will compromise their confidentiality. Image encryption is one of the methods used to protect against the confidentiality threat. A Hill Cipher has been applied in image encryption because of its simple operation and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 17, Issue 3 · 2 Apr 2021 · 6,615 accessesView PDFCite
