Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAutonomic Middleware Services for Just-In-Time Grid Services ProvisioningWail M. Omar, A. Taleb-Bendiab, Yasir KaramThe advent of widespread distributed computing environment, such as information systems and computational grids computing has enabled a new generation of applications that are based on seamless access, aggregation and interaction. The dramatic side of the story is a strong presence of the plea that those decentralized Grids are potentially affected by a number of primitives derived from their anatomy, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 6 · 30 Jun 2006 · 6,579 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractESTIMATION OF FINGERPRINT ORIENTATION FIELD BY UTILIZING PRIOR KNOWLEDGE AND SELF-ORGANIZING MAPSri Suwarno, Subanar, Agus Harjoko, Sri HartatiThis study proposes a new method of estimating fingerprint orientation field by utilizing prior knowledge of fingerprint images and Self-Organizing Map (SOM). The method is based on the assumption that fingerprint images have some common properties that can be systematized to build prior knowledge. In this method, each fingerprint image was divided into 16 regions equally and the regions were … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 12 · 24 Dec 2014 · 8,383 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Integrated Framework for Mixed Data Clustering Using Self Organizing MapHari Prasad Devaraj, M. PunithavalliProblem statement: Clustering plays an important role in data mining of large data and helps in analysis. This develops a vast importance in research field for providing better clustering technique. There are several techniques exists for clustering the similar kind of data. But only very few techniques exists for clustering mixed data items. This leads to the requirement of better … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 11 · 18 Aug 2011 · 7,304 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractHepatitis B Diagnosis Using Logical Inference and Self-Organizing MapGhumbre Shashikant Uttreshwar, A.A. GhatolDespite all the standardization efforts made, medical diagnosis is still regarded as an art owing to the fact that that medical diagnosis requires an expertise in handling the uncertainty which is unavailable in today's computing machinery. Though artificial intelligence is not a new concept it has been widely recognized as a new technology in computer science.
