Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDecreasing Overhead and Power Consuming in Ad-Hoc Networks by Proposal a Novel Routing AlgorithmA. Barati, A. Movaghar, H. Barati, A. Azizi MazreahAn Ad-Hoc network has been constructed from a fabric of mobile nodes intercom connected by temporary wireless links. Nodes located beyond a single hop are reached using intermediate neighbors to forward messages over long distances. The problem with this method of communication is that mobility causes the network topology to be unstable. Traditional solutions maintain routes by exchanging information when … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 6 · 30 Jun 2008 · 6,803 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleVarying Overhead Ad Hoc on Demand Vector Routing in Highly Mobile Ad Hoc NetworkV. Balaji, V. DuraisamyProblem statement: An inherent feature of mobile ad hoc networks is the frequent change of network topology leading to stability and reliability problems of the network. Highly dynamic and dense network have to maintain acceptable level of service to data packets and limit the network control overheads. This capability is closely related as how quickly the network protocol control overhead … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 5 · 7 May 2011 · 7,000 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA Novel Proactive Routing Method for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksBambrik Ilyas, Didi FedouaIn recent years, the Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) became more popular due to their multiple advantages such as the low setup cost, auto-configuration and auto-healing features. This kind of network is distinguished by its dynamic and distributed nature since it does not contain any form of centralized infrastructure. These characteristics have led to the emergence of new routing protocols … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 12, Issue 6 · 23 Jul 2015 · 6,381 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsImpulse Radio Ultra Wide Band Based Mobile Adhoc Network Routing Performance AnalysisM. Sreedhar, C. VenkateshThis study presents with the routing overhead analysis of impulse radio - Ultra Wide Band based wireless networks which Employs Dynamic Nature Routing (EDNR) method for determining and selecting the stable route in Mobile Adhoc Network (MANET). This method requires only two sample packets and uses piggyback information on Route-Request (RREQ) and Route-Reply (RREP) packets during a route-discovery procedure. Conventional … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 4 · 15 Apr 2013 · 5,891 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsMobility and Density Aware AODV Protocol Extension for Mobile Adhoc Networks-MADA-AODVS. Deepa, G.M. Kadhar NawazProblem statement: In this study, we proposed a method to improve the performance of AODV by reducing overhead by adopting a route message propagation mechanism. According to the new scheme, a node will be selected to forward a routing request message if and only if a condition based on its mobility (speed) and number of neighbors is satisfied. If the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 1 · 26 Oct 2011 · 7,288 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractFL-CARE: Federated Learning-Based Contention-Aware and Energy-Balanced Routing for Dense FANETsHalimjon Khujamatov, Elyanora Jolimbetova et al.In dense multi-drone FANET environments, routing efficiency is often reduced due to constant competition for a wireless channel, frequent changes in network topology, and uneven energy consumption between UAV nodes. These factors lead to a decrease in the packet delivery ratio, an increase in delays on the busiest or most unstable routes, and a reduction in the total network lifespan. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 8 · 13 Aug 2026 · 1,181 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEnhanced Lifetime Maximization Using Metaheuristics-Based Unequal Clustering With Routing Protocol on Wireless Sensor NetworksN. E. Kanaghadhara, R. SubanThe Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) consists of spatially distributed autonomous sensors that monitor environmental or physical factors such as sound, pressure, or temperature, and pass the information directly through the network to a sink or central location. Clustering and routing are essential in WSNs to optimize their longevity, scalability, and efficiency. Clustering includes grouping Sensor Nodes (SN) into clusters, each … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 7 · 21 Jul 2026 · 686 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEnhancing Quality of Service of Video Streaming Applications Over Vehicular Ad-Hoc NetworksPooja Sharma, Ajay KaulVehicular ad-hoc networks play quite an important role in communication as it is challenging to have communication across VANET nodes because of high mobility. Video streaming applications over ad-hoc networks are quite difficult because of more mobility of VANET nodes. There are various existing techniques to optimize or improve the video dissemination over ad-hoc networks. Video streaming applications need a … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 7 · 30 Jun 2025 · 3,393 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEnergy and Distance Aware Multi-Objective Firebug Swarm Optimization Based Clustering and Routing in Wireless Sensor NetworksGundeboyina Srinivasalu, Hanumanthappa UmadeviIn recent years, Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) have received increased international attention due to advancements in the communication, electronics, and information fields. These sensor networks integrate a huge number of sensor nodes to track rapidly changing physical events. The key improvement is that these nodes can be easily positioned in any environment due to their small size. Therefore, maintaining network … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 19, Issue 3 · 10 Feb 2023 · 6,037 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEnhancing the Performance of Wireless Routing Protocols of MANET using AIYahia Hasan JazyahThe main goal of Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is connecting mobile devices directly without central point (peer to peer), which makes it popular area of research. MANET is running using routing protocols that enable mobile devices (nodes) to communicate to each other.
