Research ArticleOpen accessIn the author namesDetection of DNA Hypomethylation Mediated Floral Induction in Longan and Spinach Using the HAT-RAPD TechniqueS. Anuntalabhochai, R. Chundet, N. Buapong, R. W. CutlerIn this study, the HAT-RAPD technique was used to detect DNA methylation in the four plant species, rice (Oryza sativa), petunia (Petunia hybrida), spinach (Spinacea oleracea L.) and longan (Dimocarpus longan Lour.), which were treated using 5-azacytidine, potassium chlorate (KClO3) and a low temperature induction. Using Antagonistic Bacillus spp.Supuk Mahadtanapuk, Mondhon Sanguansermsri, Robert W. Cutler et al.Over 400 bacterial strains, isolated from leaf surfaces of Curcuma alismatifolia Gagnep. and hot springs in the Chiang Mai province of northern Thailand, were screened in vitro for antagonistic activity against Colletotrichum musae, an anthracnose fungus.
