Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleComparative Study of Packet Scheduling Algorithm in LTE NetworkAlaa Omer Najim, Nor Asilah Wati Abdul Hamid, Zurina Mohd Hanapi, Idawaty AhmadAt present, Long-Term Evolution (LTE) is the most popular Internet access technology because of its robust wireless connectivity that can support data, voice, video and messaging traffic. This advantage has significantly increased the number of users availing themselves of these services through various devices. Such an increase in the number of users has also increased network traffic. Thus, scheduling algorithms … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 13, Issue 12 · 20 Dec 2017 · 7,822 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleSelfish Scheduler for Packet Scheduling Based on Packet Weighted Energy Drain Rate in ManetsS. Lakshmi, S. RadhaThe aim of our selfish scheduler based on packet weighted energy drain rate in Mobile ad-hoc networks mainly depends on the available least highest-limit of the residual value of a mobile node. The projected work comprises of mechanisms for detecting the selfish node as well as an attitude called rehabilitate-before-malicious behavior for justifying against the malicious behavior of nodes having … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 1 · 6 Feb 2013 · 6,842 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleRobustness Results for Hierarchical Diff-EDF Scheduling upon Heterogeneous Real-Time Packet NetworksMoutaz Saleh, Zulaiha Ali OthmanPacket networks are currently enabling the integration of traffic with a wide range of characteristics that extend from video traffic with stringent QoS requirements to the best-effort traffic requiring no guarantees. QoS guarantees can be provided in conventional packet networks by the use of proper packet scheduling algorithms. As a computer revolution, many scheduling algorithms have been proposed to provide … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 5 · 31 May 2007 · 6,601 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsMulti-Threshold based Scheduling for Multi-User Multiple-Input Multiple-Output SystemsK. Chanthirasekaran, M. A. BhagyaveniProblem statement: Multi-User Multi-Input Multi-Output (MU-MIMO) system had eventually used in 4th generation wireless networks either to achieved diversity gain or multiplexing gain. Many recent scheduling addresses the threshold based resource allocation where in resource were not utilized properly. Approach: In this study a new Multi Threshold Based Channel Aware Scheduling (MTCAS) was proposed for performance improvement and proper resource … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 7 · 21 Jun 2012 · 6,938 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAdvanced Information Technology of Slot-Switching Network Schemes for on All-Optical Variable-Length PacketSoung Yue Liew, Edward Sek Khin Wong, Choong Kwai FattProblem Statement: The purpose of this paper was to investigate all optical packet switching, because it was the key to the success of the future Internet. It can meet the stringent bandwidth requirement of future Internet applications, such as real-time video streaming. Due to the lack of optical Random Access Memory (RAM), however, the all-optical schemes studied in the literature … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2010 · 7,186 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsBandwidth-Adaptive Scheduling for Quality of Service Enhancement of Real-Time Multimedia Applications in Network Processor Based RouterR. Avudaiammal, P. SeethalakshmiProblem statement: An explosive growth of multimedia applications in internet has stressed the performance of routers. Hence managing Quality of Service (QoS) enhancement of real-time multimedia applications over IP is a significant and demanding challenge. Approach: To address this issue, Bandwidth Adaptive Stratified Round Robin (BASRR) packet scheduling algorithm has been proposed in this paper for enhancing quality of service … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2009 · 6,824 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsNEW BURST ASSEMBLY AND SCHEDULING TECHNIQUE FOR OPTICAL BURST SWITCHING NETWORKSV. Kavitha, V. PalanisamyThe Optical Burst Switching is a new switching technology that efficiently utilizes the bandwidth in the optical layer. The key areas to be concentrated in Optical Burst Switching (OBS) networks are the burst assembly and burst scheduling i.e., assignment of wavelengths to the incoming bursts. This study presents a New Burst Assembly and Scheduling (NBAS) technique in a simultaneous multipath … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 8 · 6 Jul 2013 · 6,944 accessesView PDFCite
