Research ArticleOpen accessIn the author namesStatic Batch Mode Heuristic Algorithm for Mapping Independent Tasks in Computational GridR. Vijayalakshmi, V. VasudevanGrid computing plays an important role in solving large-scale computational problems in a high performance computing environment. Scheduling of tasks to efficient and best suitable resource is one of the most challenging phase in grid computing systems. Grid environment reveals several challenges in efficient scheduling of complex applications because of its heterogeneity, dynamic behavior and shared resources. Scheduling of independent … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 11, Issue 1 · 22 Sep 2014 · 7,429 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the author namesITERATIVE DICHOTOMISER-3 ALGORITHM IN DATA MINING APPLIED TO DIABETES DATABASEP. VasudevanIn this study, eight major factors playing significant role in the Pima Indian population are analyzed. Real time data is taken from the large dataset of National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases. The data is subjected to an analysis by logistic regression method using SPSS 7.5 statistical software, to isolate the most significant factors among the eight … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 7 · 15 Feb 2014 · 7,075 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the author namesCUCKOO SEARCH-AIDED LMS ALGORITHM FOR CHANNEL ESTIMATION IN MC-CDMA SYSTEMSS. Balaji, N. VasudevanIn the progress of transmission systems that uses the diversity in various domains, the execution of competent baseband receivers categorized by affordable computational load is an essential thing. This would be an imperative point in the future expansion of 4G systems in which the space, time and frequency diversity will be merged together to enhance the system throughput. Research ArticleOpen accessIn the author namesDISTRIBUTIVE POWER MIGRATION AND MANAGEMENT ALGORITHM FOR CLOUD ENVIRONMENTP. Prakash, G. Kousalya, Shriram K. Vasudevan, Kawshik K. RangarajuIn cloud computing, the resources are provided as service over the internet on demand basis. The resources such as servers, networks, storage, applications are dynamically scaled and virtualized. The demand grows gradually for each virtual machine in a cloud computing environment over time. So, it is necessary to manage the resources under each cluster to match the demand in order … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 3 · 29 Nov 2013 · 6,505 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the author namesENHANCEMENT OF TOTAL TECHNICAL LIFE OF AERO PLANESA. Balachandran, P. R. Suresh, Shriram K. Vasudevan, Kaushik VelusamyGovernment of India spends most of its income towards strengthening the Army, Air Force and Navy. Out of the amount spent for this, about 80% of money is spent on technology advancement and maintenance. We are coming in particular now about the Air Force and its fighter jets along with other flying machines as well. Taking Mirage-2000 as an instance, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 3 · 22 Nov 2013 · 6,615 accessesView PDFCite
