Research ArticleOpen accessIn the author namesA New Self-Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System for the Removal of Non-Linear Artifacts from the Respiratory SignalA. Bhavani Sankar, D. Kumar, K. SeethalakshmiProblem statement: In this study, a new ANFIS-based adaptive filter is proposed to remove the non-linear artifacts from the respiratory signal measured using MEMS based accelerometer sensor. The data recorded from the abdomen movement includes the respiratory signal, electromyogram, 50Hz power line interference and the random electrode noise. In order to avoid convergence into local extremes, the system employs ANFIS … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 5 · 16 Feb 2012 · 6,895 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the author namesAn Optimal Path Management Strategy in Mobile Ad Hoc Network Using Fuzzy and Rough Set TheoryP. Seethalakshmi, M. Joseph Auxilius Jude, G. RajendranProblem statement: Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is a collection of wireless mobile nodes that dynamically forms a network. Most of the existing ad-hoc routing algorithms select the shortest path using various resources. However the selected path may not consider all the network parameters and this would result in link instability in the network. The problems with existing methods are … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 12 · 15 Oct 2011 · 7,671 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the author namesBandwidth-Adaptive Scheduling for Quality of Service Enhancement of Real-Time Multimedia Applications in Network Processor Based RouterR. Avudaiammal, P. SeethalakshmiProblem statement: An explosive growth of multimedia applications in internet has stressed the performance of routers. Hence managing Quality of Service (QoS) enhancement of real-time multimedia applications over IP is a significant and demanding challenge. Approach: To address this issue, Bandwidth Adaptive Stratified Round Robin (BASRR) packet scheduling algorithm has been proposed in this paper for enhancing quality of service … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2009 · 6,829 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the author namesParallel Performance Monitoring Service for Dynamically Composed Media Web ServicesG. Maria Kalavathy, P. SeethalakshmiProblem statement: As distributed real-time multimedia services are accessed by users from different locations, the run-time performance must be managed and monitored to get a clear view of how media web services perform within their operational environments and to perform control actions to modify and adjust the their behavior. Otherwise it will provide negative effects on the reputation of service … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2009 · 7,192 accessesView PDF Cite
