Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleVLSI Implementation of Channel Estimation for MIMO-OFDM TransceiverJoseph Gladwin Sekar, Salivahanan SankarappanIn this study the VLSI architecture for MIMO-OFDM transceiver and the algorithm for the implementation of MMSE detection in MIMO-OFDM system is proposed. The implemented MIMO-OFDM system is capable of transmitting data at high throughput in physical layer and provides optimized hardware resources while achieving the same data rate. The proposed architecture has low latency, high throughput and efficient resource … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 10 · 6 Sep 2013 · 6,550 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titlePAPR Reduction Using BPSO/PTS and STBC in MIMO OFDM SystemKarima El Mouhib, Ahmed Oquour, Younes Jabrane et al.Problem statement: The Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) system has been receiving a great attention, as one of solutions for achieving high speed, efficient and high-quality service for the wireless communications. However, the transmitted signal still has high PAPR because of OFDM characteristics. Many methods have been proposed to solve this problem, but the most … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 4 · 4 Apr 2011 · 7,189 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsANALYSIS OF REDUCTION IN COMPLEXITY OF MULTIPLE INPUT- MULTIPLE OUTPUT-ORTHOGONAL FREQUENCY DIVISION MULTIPLEXING SYSTEMS WITH CARRIER FREQUENCY OFFSET ESTIMATION AND CORRECTIONSabitha Gauni, Kumar RamamoorthyOrthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a promising research area in Wireless Communication for high data rates. The Multiple Input-Multiple Output (MIMO) technology when incorporated with the OFDM system promise a significant boost in the performance. But, the MIMO-OFDM systems are very sensitive to Carrier Frequency Offset (CFO) as it deteriorates the system performance with the rise of Inter-Carrier-Interference (ICI). … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 2 · 13 Nov 2013 · 6,784 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsPerformance Analysis of Discrete Wavelet Transform Based Multiple Input Multiple Output Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing System for Different Wavelets in Different Channel EnvironmentHariprasadNagarajan, AlameluNachiappanMultiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) and Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) are the two assuring technologies that offers high data rate as required for the 4G wireless systems. Conventionally OFDM is Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) based system. It uses IFFT (Inverse FFT) blocks in the transmitter and FFT blocks in the receiver. OFDM combined with MIMO gives increased throughput and … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 12 · 18 Oct 2013 · 6,616 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA NOVEL TWO STAGE CARRIER FREQUENCY OFFSET ESTIMATION AND COMPENSATION SCHEME IN MULTIPLE INPUT MULTIPLE OUTPUT-ORTHOGONAL FREQUENCY DIVISION MULTIPLEXING SYSTEM USING EXPECTATION AND MAXIMIZATION ITERATIONMalarvezhi Pandy, Kumar RamamoorthyMultiple Input Multiple Output-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) is a promising technique to handle impairments of multipath channel. Alternatively, one of its major drawbacks is drift in carrier frequency, called Carrier Frequency Offset (CFO). Due to CFO, Inter Carrier Interference (ICI) occurs and results in a large performance degradation. The study proposes a novel two stage CFO estimation and compensation … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 11 · 30 Sep 2013 · 6,549 accessesView PDFCite
