Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsDesign and Development of an Ergonomic Milling Machine Control Knob using TRIZ PrinciplesPoh Kiat Ng, Kian Siong JeeTRIZ, a Russian abbreviation known as the Theory of Inventive Problem Solving, refers to a methodology for problem-solving rooted in logic and data rather than intuition. It promotes the ability to solve problems creatively. Using TRIZ tools for problem-solving such as the cause-effect-chain analysis and engineering contradiction, a new ergonomic milling machine control knob was developed for improved musculoskeletal comfort. … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 13, Issue 4 · 28 Apr 2016 · 7,787 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAn Ergonomics Study on Assembly Line Workstation DesignBaba Md Deros, Nor Kamaliana Khamis, Ahmad Rasdan Ismail et al.Problem statement: High demand for products in the manufacturing industry had driven the human workers to work faster and adapt to their un-ergonomically designed workstation. Some tasks at assembly workstations require human workers to stand for a prolonged period of time to assemble the products. Approach: This study was conducted at an automotive component manufacturer. Twenty full time workers working … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 11 · 8 Oct 2011 · 9,992 accessesView PDFCite
Technical ReportOpen accessIn the keywordsInfluences of Tactile Sensation on Pinch Force under Loaded and Unloaded ConditionsPoh Kiat Ng, Kian Siong Jee, Adi Saptari, Chiew Yean NgAlthough researchers have studied various parameters that affect grip force, few studies investigate the effects of tactile sensation on pinch force. This study aims to determine the influences of tactile sensation on pinch force with a special emphasis on screw knobs under loaded and unloaded conditions. The participants included 32 manual workers who were required to pinch and turn the … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 12, Issue 8 · 17 Sep 2015 · 6,904 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPost-COVID Impact Analysis and Effective Recommendation Solutions Over Risk Prediction Using Hybrid ModelBoddeti Jaggan Mohan Ravi Kumar, P. V. G. D. Prasad Reddy, G SrinivasThe COVID-19 pandemic (2019-2022) resulted in significant global mortality, largely attributed to the virus's unpredictable pathophysiology, rapid disease progression affecting multiple organ systems, and initial lack of effective treatments. This study systematically examines post-COVID-19 complications across major organ systems, including respiratory dysfunction, cardiovascular complications, renal disorders, musculoskeletal pain, gastrointestinal disturbances, neurological sequelae, alopecia, endocrine and metabolic dysregulation, and mental health … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 11 · 23 Dec 2025 · 1,643 accessesView PDFCite
