Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsMembrane Computing Inspired Genetic Algorithm on Multi-Core ProcessorsAli Maroosi, Ravie Chandren MuniyandiMembrane computing is a branch of natural computing. Several studies have recently attempted to utilize the structure of membrane computing to improve intelligent algorithms. These studies have applied communication rules in membrane models to facilitate information exchange between membranes, thereby improving the performance of those algorithms. However, parallel membrane computing has not yet been considered. This study proposes a membrane … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 2 · 12 Apr 2013 · 6,628 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractHigh Pitch Delay Resolution Technique for Tonal Language Speech Coding Based on Multi-Pulse Based Code Excited Linear Prediction AlgorithmSuphattharachai ChomphanProblem statement: In spontaneous speech communication, speech coding is an important process that should be taken into account, since the quality of coded speech depends on the efficiency of the speech coding algorithm. As for tonal language which tone plays important role not only on the naturalness and also the intelligibility of the speech, tone must be treated appropriately. Approach: … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 1 · 14 Jan 2011 · 6,734 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractMulti Microkernel Operating Systems for Multi-Core ProcessorsRami MatarnehProblem statement: In the midst of the huge development in processors industry as a response to the increasing demand for high-speed processors manufacturers were able to achieve the goal of producing the required processors, but this industry disappointed hopes, because it faced problems not amenable to solution, such as complexity, hard management and large consumption of energy. These problems forced … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2009 · 7,550 accessesView PDF Cite
