Raihan, Riza MuhidaProblem statement: Recently, influx of research afford is being concentrated in automobile engineering to develop low emission hybrid electric vehicle to reduce the greenhouse gases such as hydro-carbons, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, produces from the vehicle. Approach: Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) powered by electric machines and an Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) are a promising mean of reducing emissions and fuel … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 10 · 25 Aug 2012 · 7,197 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Novel Reconfigurable Execution Core for Merged DSP MicrocontrollerA. K. Rath, P. K. MeherThe study presents an execution core which can be reconfigured either for calculation of digital convolution or for computation of discrete orthogonal transform by appropriate local buffer initialization of processing cells. It is shown that the data flow pattern can be changed by a single bit control signal. The proposed core can be connected to port 1 of Intel 8051 … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 10 · 31 Oct 2007 · 6,483 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDesign of a Merged DSP Microcontroller for Embedded Systems using Discrete Orthogonal TransformA. K. Rath, P. K. MeherIn this paper we have proposed the design of a DSP microcontroller where the processor load is significantly reduced by relegating the math-intensive DSP algorithm to dedicated transform computing modules. It is shown that the use of such transform modules will facilitate scalability, reusability and flexibility for implementation of wide varieties of DSP functionalities. Moreover, it would be possible to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 5 · 31 Aug 2006 · 6,918 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleWireless Control of Vehicle Mirror System Using Head Movement and PIC MicrocontrollerNidal F. Shilbayeh, Mahmoud Z. IskandaraniA PIC controlled IR system for the control car mirror system movement is designed and implemented. The designed and built system allows the side view mirrors to be adjusted based on the driver head movement. The infrared based head tracking system maps a predetermined coordinates for head movements and results in a triangularly computable geometry which is fed to the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2005 · 6,880 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Practical Design of Anti-Theft Car Protection System Based on MicrocontrollerMohammed Abuzalata, Muntaser Momani, Sayel Fayyad, Suleiman Abu-EinProblem statement: This study presents a new design for an anti-theft protection System as an inexpensive solution to protect cars from theft and from non-authorized users by using microcontroller-based system. Approach: Three stages of protection to strengthen the security of the car: Firstly, when the user access the car by the car key and entered the wrong password, the power … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 5 · 5 Mar 2012 · 8,404 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleMicrocontroller Based Power SupplyTanvir Singh Mundra, Er. Satwinder Singh Sachdeva, K.S. KahlonThese days, majority of electronic devices work on DC power source, so there was a requirement of a reliable and customized power supply. Generally, the requirements are not too varied, but still they require every time a new hardware designing. The idea presented here is to build a microcontroller controlled power supply[1] that is flexible enough to meet different customer … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 8 · 31 Aug 2006 · 6,781 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleOn the Design and Construction of a Dual Axis Solar Tracker Prototype for a Dish Concentrator using ATMega3298P MicrocontrollerAlbright Abu Edet, Samaila Umaru, Isah IbrahimThe desire for reliable power supply is the reason for further research into alternative sources of power. Although solar tracking is not a new technology, yet solar harvesters still suffer low efficiency due to the intermittence of solar insolation. Thus many smart systems have been designed to maximise solar harvesters. Among the systems is the dual axis solar tracking system. … …Journal of Mechatronics and Robotics, Vol. 5, Issue 1 · 21 Apr 2021 · 7,248 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsThe Use of Biosensors to Analyse a Soldier’s Stress LevelJosé Miguel Martinho Silva, Ricardo A. Marques Lameirinhas et al.Currently and increasingly, biosensors are present in our daily lives, even if tendentiously and imperceptibly. As such and given their importance, the scientific community is clearly interested in making progress in this research field. This study is part of the study of biosensors using pre-gelled electrodes and was focused on the analysis of the ability to extract information on the … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 17, Issue 2 · 1 Mar 2024 · 4,972 accessesView PDFCite
