Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleEFFICIENT KEY MANAGEMENT AND AUTHENTICATION SCHEME FOR WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKST. Lalitha, R. Saravana Kumar, R. HamsaveniWireless Sensor Networks (WSN) is vulnerable to node capture attacks in which an attacker can capture one or more sensor nodes and reveal all stored security information which enables him to compromise a part of the WSN communications. Due to large number of sensor nodes and lack of information about deployment and hardware capabilities of sensor node, key management in … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 6 · 10 Apr 2014 · 6,981 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleMESSAGE AUTHENTICATION CODE BASED SECURE GROUP KEY MANAGEMENT PROTOCOL FOR MOBILE AD HOC NETWORKST. Peer Meera Labbai, V. RajamaniA mobile ad hoc network is a group of nodes which are communicating with each other with the use of radio frequencies. When there is high movement of mobile nodes, the nodes find difficult to reach other nodes. If the data are exchanged between nodes when there is high mobility, the data may be lost in transit. Therefore the security … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 10 · 5 Sep 2013 · 6,727 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleAN EFFICIENT AUTONOMOUS KEY MANAGEMENT WITH REDUCED COMMUNICATION/COMPUTATION COSTS IN MOBILE AD HOC NETWORKM. Devi, S. Chenthur PandianA primary concern in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) is security. Secret sharing is an effective way to distribute a secret among n parties, where each party holds one piece of the secret. A number of key management schemes have been proposed for MANETs. However the secret sharing to control key hierarchy needs larger message transmission costs in many techniques. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 10 · 5 Sep 2013 · 6,778 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleAn Enhanced and Cost Effective Group Key Management Scheme for Multicast NetworkSaravana Kumar Muthusamy, Purusothaman Thiyagarajan, Lavanya SelvarajKey management plays a vital role in the data communications. The proposed scheme is a key management scheme that provides more efficient and secure methods for key generation and utilization. Enhanced and cost effective key management scheme achieves a secure communication between the members within the group-based network. In this scheme, the group key is generated only once which is … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 4 · 10 May 2013 · 6,390 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleRouting Based Data Security in Mobile Ad Hoc Network Using Group Key ManagementE. Mohanraj, K. DuraiswamyProblem statement: A mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) is a self-organizing system of mobile devices followed an infrastructure less framework associated by wireless links. In MANET, there is a possibility of packet data to get lost or hacked by an attacker. So, to improve a secure communication over MANET from attackers, several techniques have been developed. The previous work developed to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 10 · 29 Aug 2012 · 6,697 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleTopological Decoupled Group Key Management for Cellular NetworksJorge Estudillo Ramirez, Saul Eduardo Pomares Hernandez, Gustavo Rodriguez Gomez, Jose Roberto Perez CruzProblem statement: The continuous increasing capacity of the cellular networks motivates the development of multiparty applications, such as interactive mobile TV and mobile social networks. For these environments, security group services are required. A practical way to provide security services is by using cryptographic methods. However, the key management needed for these methods, which considers a dynamic group membership, introduces … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 3 · 9 Mar 2011 · 6,866 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA Framework for Group Key Management Protocol Assessment Independent of View SynchronyDavid Manz, Paul Oman, Jim Alves-FossProblem statement: As group key management extended into the area of large dynamic networks, complex issues emerged involving the many operations that run over several network topologies. The issues that occurred due to multiple topologies were also compounded by differing views of the network, taken at different time slices or positions within the network. This was especially complex when figuring … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2010 · 6,942 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleAn Effective Key Management Approach to Differential Access Control in Dynamic EnvironmentsYogesh Karandikar, Xukai Zou, Yuanshun DaiApplications like e-newspaper or interactive online gaming have more than one resource and a large number of users. There is a many-to-many relationship between users and resources; each user can access multiple resources and multiple users can access each resource. The resources are independent and each resource needs to be encrypted by a different Resource Encryption Key (REK). Each REK … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 6 · 30 Jun 2006 · 6,770 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleEfficient Star Topology based Multicast Key Management AlgorithmK. Saravanan, T. PurusothamanProblem statement: Secure group communication is very important for many applications such as internet pay sites. It provides efficient delivery of identical data to only the customers in the group. In large and dynamic multicast groups, the group keys of members have to be changed frequently whenever the member leaves or joins. A common method is to apply a symmetric … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 6 · 22 Mar 2012 · 7,344 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA NOVEL APPROACH FOR INFORMATION SECURITY IN AD HOC NETWORKS THROUGH SECURE KEY MANAGEMENTS. Suma Christal Mary, M. PallikondaRajasekaran, Y. ChrisbinJeevaAd hoc networks provide flexible and adaptive networks with no fixed infrastructure and dynamic topology. Owe to the vulnerability nature of ad hoc network, there are lots of security threats that diminish the development of ad hoc networks. Therefore, to provide security for information of users and to preserve their privacy, it becomes mandatory to use cryptographic techniques to set … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 11 · 2 Oct 2013 · 6,690 accessesView PDFCite
