Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA COMBINED LOW LATENCY AND WEIGHTED FAIR QUEUING BASED SCHEDULING OF AN INPUT-QUEUED SWITCHK. Bommanna Raja, D. RaghupathikumarInput queuing has become dominant and popular building blocks for high speed crossbar switches with many ports and fast line rates because they require minimum speed-up of memory bandwidth. Input Queued switches with finite Virtual Output Queues guarantees QoS performance in terms of throughput and average delay. A switch performs two functions Queuing and Scheduling. Queue Management algorithm manages the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 8 · 25 Mar 2014 · 7,226 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Simulation-Based Comparison of Multimedia Traffic Prioritization Schemes for High-Performance Input-Queued Packet SwitchesSalman A. AlQahtaniThis study investigates the problem of enabling Quality of Service (QoS) of multimedia traffic at the input port of high-performance input-queued packet switches using a simulation-based evaluation. We focus on the possibility of assuring QoS of multimedia traffic in such switches by implementing traffic prioritization at the input port where each input-queue has been modified to provide a separate buffer … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 4 · 30 Apr 2006 · 7,074 accessesView PDF Cite
