Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleCohesion Analysis of Rubber Stand Ages Using Object-Based Image Analysis and Spatial AutocorrelationJiradech Majandang, Suepsai Prasansat, Patiwat Littidej et al.Latex and rubber wood are crucial raw materials used in various industries and play a significant role in the economies of many countries, particularly in tropical regions. Mapping the areas where these materials are planted and classifying the age of rubber stands is important for managing growth assessment, yield assessment, and estimating the number of mature rubber trees that will … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 20, Issue 12 · 29 Nov 2024 · 5,293 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Cloud-Based Approach for Privacy-Preserving Medical Image Retrieval: Leveraging Local Features and PCA in Two Efficient StepsM Geetha Yadav, SP ChokkalingamThe major challenges of content-based image retrieval are searching, ranking, and retrieving in secure mode. In this article, we propose a two-step security approach for each database image, utilizing encryption mechanisms and cloud technology. In this approach, the watermark-embedded encrypted images, along with the efficient feature vector database and the list of authenticated users, will be stored in the cloud. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 20, Issue 12 · 4 Nov 2024 · 4,290 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleContent Based Image Retrieval of Ultrasound Liver Diseases Based on Hybrid ApproachR. Suganya, S. RajaramProblem statement: In the past few years, immense improvement was obtained in the field of Content-Based Image Retrieval (CBIR). Nevertheless, existing systems still fail when applied to medical image databases. Simple feature-extraction algorithms that operate on the entire image for characterization of color, texture, or shape cannot be related to the descriptive semantics of medical knowledge that is extracted from … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 6 · 24 Mar 2012 · 7,643 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleVideo Retrieval using Histogram and Sift Combined with Graph-based Image SegmentationTran Quang Anh, Pham Bao, Tran Thuong Khanh et al.Problem statement: Content-Based Video Retrieval (CBVR) is still an open hard problem because of the semantic gap between low-level features and high-level features, largeness of database, keyframe’s content, choosing feature. In this study we introduce a new approach for this problem based on Scale-Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT) feature, a new metric and an object retrieval method. Conclusion/Recommendations: Our algorithm is built … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 6 · 15 Mar 2012 · 7,013 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleContent Based Image Retrieval using Novel Gaussian Fuzzy Feed Forward-Neural NetworkC. Ramesh Babu Durai, V. DuraisamyProblem statement: With extensive digitization of images, diagrams and paintings, traditional keyword based search has been found to be inefficient for retrieval of the required data. Content-Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) system responds to image queries as input and relies on image content, using techniques from computer vision and image processing to interpret and understand it, while using techniques from information … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 7 · 28 Jun 2011 · 7,326 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSRBIR: Semantic Region Based Image Retrieval by Extracting the Dominant Region and Semantic LearningI. Felci Rajam, S. ValliProblem statement: The Semantic Region Based Image Retrieval (SRBIR) system that automatically segments the dominant foreground region, consisting of the semantic concept of the image, such as elephants, roses and does the semantic learning, is proposed. Approach: The system segments an image into different regions and finds the dominant foreground region in it, which is the semantic concept of that … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 3 · 7 Mar 2011 · 7,026 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSpatial Color Indexing: An Efficient and Robust Technique for Content-Based Image RetrievalRachid Alaoui, Said Ouatik El Alaoui, Mohammed MeknassiProblem statement: Color Histogram is admitted as a useful representation of features because it is a statistical result and possesses the merits of simplicity, robustness and efficiency. However, the main problem with color histogram indexing is that it doesn't take into account the spatial information. Previous researches have proved that the effectiveness of image retrieval increases when spatial feature of … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2009 · 7,418 accessesView PDFCite
