Research ArticleOpen accessIn the author namesImproved Performance of Traffic Dependent Outage Rate Cellular SystemHussein M.A. Basi, M. B.R. MurthyThe designers of a mobile cellular system must evaluate the possible configurations of the system components and their characteristics in order to develop a system with greater efficiency. The useful parameters to estimate performances of the system are voice quality, frequency spectrum efficiency and grade of service (GOS). In this study, a scheme proposed to reduce the lost calls and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 1 · 31 Mar 2005 · 6,812 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the author namesA Simple Scheme for Improved Performance of Fixed Outage Rate Cellular SystemHussein M.Aziz Basi, M. B.R. MurthyThe traffic characteristic of mobile cellular systems is rather distinct from that of a fixed telephone network. However the system planning and design are still carried out with the tools of conventional traffic theory. In the recent days much work is being done in the performance evaluation of mobile or cellular communication systems in order to develop a system with … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 1, Issue 3 · 30 Sep 2004 · 7,078 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordDesign and Field Programmable Gate Array Implementation of Basic Building Blocks for Power-Efficient Baugh-Wooley MultipliersMuhammad H. Rais, Bandar M. Al-Harthi, Saad I. Al-Askar, Fahad K. Al-HusseinProblem statement: As growing demands on portable computing and communication systems, the power-efficient multipliers play an important role. In these multipliers basic multiplication follows the Baugh-Wooley algorithms and can easily be implemented using Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) devices because the development cost for Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs) are high. These algorithms should be verified and optimized before implementation. … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 3, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2010 · 8,123 accessesView PDF Cite
