Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsShort-Term Effects of Aroma Therapeutic Herbal Steam on Heart Rate Variability and StressPeerada Damapong, Pongmada DamapongThis experimental research aims to examine the short-term effects of aroma therapeutic herbal steam on heart rate variability and stress. In this experimental study, the participants were 60 diabetic patients with stress who had rated their stress in the Suang-prung Stress Test-20 at the level of 3 or higher. They were divided into the treatment group (n = 30) and … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 15, Issue 7 · 4 Sep 2018 · 8,671 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPerinatal Cardiovascular Evaluation in Dorper Sheep Echocardiographic Description and Behavior of the Heart Rate Variability on the FieldAmanda Sarita Cruz Aleixo, Mayra de Castro Ferreira Lima, Ana Luísa Holanda de Albuquerque et al.The heart is innervated by the autonomic nervous system, with a predominance of sympathetic and parasympathetic activity associated, respectively, with increases and decreases in the heart rate, as illustrated by the Heart Rate Variability (HRV). Pregnancy induces significant changes in the maternal cardiovascular and hemodynamic systems. This study aimed at evaluating changes in the clinical and echocardiographic parameters of pregnant … …American Journal of Animal and Veterinary Sciences, Vol. 16, Issue 4 · 3 Nov 2021 · 6,518 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractHeart Rate Variability Analysis in Different Age and Pathological ConditionsM.E.S. Chelladurai, N. KumaravelProblem statement: Heart Rate Variability (HRV) has been used as a measure of mortality primarily with patients who had undergone cardiac surgery. The analysis of Heart Rate Variability (HRV) demands specific capabilities which are not provided either by parametric or nonparametric conventional estimation methods. The Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) adaptively estimates the Intrinsic Mode Functions (IMFs) of nonlinear nonstationary signals. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 10 · 4 Aug 2011 · 6,818 accessesView PDF Cite
