AL-SmadiThis paper mainly studies data transmission DT rate in the modern communication systems. Increasing the need to improve the sensitivity of the control systems to detect low signals weak capacity density in view of the increasing communications systems new radio that use the capacity is decreasing and the scope of the taking of spaciousness and frequencies are on the rise. … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 1 · 3 Feb 2017 · 9,083 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleENERGY EFFICIENT NETWORK SELECTION USING 802.16G BASED GSM TECHNOLOGYH. Anandakumar, K. UmamaheswariHandover is the mechanism that transfers information from one terminal to another as a user moves through the coverage area of a cellular system. Here the Network selection is the handover decision process between various network environments. This handover decision will be either mobile or network initiated. In 2G GSM handover decision method especially concentrates on Received frequency signals (RFS). … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 5 · 31 Dec 2013 · 7,076 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsArduino Based IOT Platform for Remote Monitoring of Heart Attacks and Patients FallsManikandan Shanmugam, Monisha SinghInternet of things (IoT) is a networking concept that allows connection of various smart devices. This concept plays a huge role in the healthcare industry. The developed system is a working prototype for real-time monitoring of patient falls and heart attacks. The process of developing this system included an architecture, which was built using Arduino UNO and Arduino NANO along … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 14, Issue 4 · 30 Apr 2018 · 9,129 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsDetection and Solutions for Non-Technical Losses in Cameroon Electricity NetworkLekini Nkodo Claude Bernard, Ndzana Benoît, Oumarou Hamandjoda, Fippo Fitime LouisThe purpose of this study was to provide a tool to detect NTLs and subsequently, discuss the establishment of a prepaid system in Cameroon. The conception of a prepayment system for electric power or other utility commodity distribution using Wi-Fi and GSM to store and transfer value (money or KWh, meters reading indexes) from the client module to cut-off module … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 1 · 25 Jan 2018 · 7,370 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsDESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM RECEIVER IN FIELD PROGRAMMABLE GATE ARRAY WITH SHORT MESSAGE SERVICEGovindaraju Kavya, Vittal Thulasi BaiIn recent years, survival rate from myocardial infarction and bundle branch block has been increased due to the advancements in medical field. Continuous monitoring and location management of these patients becomes an essential task. Hence this study aims in design and development of GPS in a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) and interfaced with a GSM modem to transmit the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 1 · 12 Nov 2013 · 7,563 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsWeighted Semi-Blind Channel Identification by Cross Relation MethodMohamed Tahar Taba, S. FemmamProblem statement: The bandwidth efficiency of many communication systems could be improved if the transmission channel was estimated blindly without resort to training sequences. GMSK was a spectrum-efficient modulation scheme and it was adopted as the modulation standard of GSM systems. Approach: However, because of its phase modulation, Gaussian filtering and partial response signalling properties, Results: The simulation results showed … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 6 · 30 Jun 2009 · 6,891 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA New Architecture for Improving Location Management in PCS NetworksHaidar Safa, Samuel PierreThis study proposes a new architecture for improving the location management in PCS networks. The proposed architecture employs several HLRs as opposed to one HLR in the IS-41 and GSM models. Indeed, the new architecture associates with each MU two types of HLRs ; a resident HLR that serves the location areas in which the MU often resides and a … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2005 · 6,781 accessesView PDFCite
