Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleThe Classification Model of Sandals Dhiif’s Product with Back Propagation and Fourier Descriptors MethodWikaria Gazali, Haryono Soeparno, Ngarap Im ManikClassification is a vital process in every industry. While manual classification is inefficient in terms of cost and time, the computerized techniques offer better and faster solution on this matter. Fourier Descriptors is the mathematical formulas to save objects in functions of Fourier series. While back propagation is an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) method to recognize patterns and images through … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 2 · 2 Apr 2013 · 6,370 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractIdentification of Pecan Weevils through Image ProcessingS.M. Al-Saqer, P. Weckler, J. Solie et al.Abstract: Problem Statement: Pecan weevil is one of the most destructive pests of Oklahoma. The scope of this study is to develop a recognition system that can serve in a wireless imaging network for monitoring pecan weevils. Approach: The recognition methods used in this study are based on template matching. Five recognition methods were implemented: Normalized cross-correlation, Fourier descriptors, Zernike … …American Journal of Agricultural and Biological Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 1 · 15 Dec 2010 · 8,775 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractRetrieval of Similar Shapes Under Affine Transform Using Affine Length ParameterizationA. Lakehal, O. El Beqqali, O. Ait ZemzamiProblem statement: In this study, a new descriptor for shape retrieval under affine transformations had been proposed; the affine length parameterization was used in this approach. Approach: The zero crossing of affine curvature was used to extract a descriptor of shapes in database. For each two successive zero crossing points we extract two parameters: the first parameter was a maximal … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 10 · 30 Aug 2010 · 7,255 accessesView PDF Cite
