Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsImprovement of the Simplified Fast Transversal Filter Type Algorithm for Adaptive FilteringMadjid Arezki, Ahmed Benallal, Daoud BerkaniProblem statement: In this study, we proposed a new algorithm M-SMFTF for adaptive filtering with fast convergence and low complexity. Approach: It was the result of a simplified FTF type algorithm, where the adaptation gain was obtained only from the forward prediction variables and using a new recursive method to compute the likelihood variable. Results: The computational complexity was reduced … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 5 · 31 May 2009 · 7,700 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractRobust Speech Recognition Using Fusion Techniques and Adaptive FilteringS. A.R. Al-Haddad, S. A. Samad, A. Hussain et al.The study proposes an algorithm for noise cancellation by using recursive least square (RLS) and pattern recognition by using fusion method of Dynamic Time Warping (DTW) and Hidden Markov Model (HMM). Speech signals are often corrupted with background noise and the changes in signal characteristics could be fast. These issues are especially important for robust speech recognition. Robustness is a … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2009 · 7,993 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractFACE RECOGNITION USING RELATIONSHIP LEARNING BASED SUPER RESOLUTION ALGORITHMSenthilSingh, ManikandanThe face recognition is an application which is for identifying a person from a digital image. The common problem that often occurs while identifying the face from image is due to the low resolution in images especially when it is captured from a long distance. In automated face recognition system, this has always been a challeging problem. To overcome this … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 3 · 16 Jan 2014 · 6,968 accessesView PDF Cite
