Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsIdentification of Electrooculography Signals Frequency Energy Distribution Using Wavelet AlgorithmW.M. Bukhari, W. Daud, Rubita Sudirman, Camallil OmarProblem statement: The time frequency analysis of non-stationary signals has been the considerable research effort in recent years. Wavelet transform is one of the favored tool for the analyzing the biomedical signals. Approach: We describe the identification of Electro-Oculograph (EOG) signals of eye movement potentials by using wavelet algorithm which gives a lot of information than FFT. The capability of … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 11 · 18 Aug 2011 · 8,556 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsENERGY PSYCHOLOGY-PRACTICES AND THEORIES OF NEW COMBINATIONS OF PSYCHOTHERAPYDaniel J. BenorEnergy Psychology (EP) includes a spectrum of practices in which people tap on their bodies while focusing their minds on problems they want to change. EP therapies often are very rapidly effective. This article examines varieties of explanations for how EP works, including: Cognitive changes, psychological conditioning, expectation effects, distraction techniques, tapping on acupuncture points, shifts in other biological energies, … …Current Research in Psychology, Vol. 5, Issue 1 · 12 Jul 2014 · 16,534 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDifferent Eye Physiology of Mud Crab (Scylla Serrata) in Different Life Stage Found in Semarang Territorial WatersAristi Dian Purnama Fitri, Herry Boesono, Agus Sabdono, Fahresa NugraheniMud crabs use their eyes function to guide their movement activities i.e., to avoid predator and to support their environment orientation. In tropical environment such as Indonesia, mud crabs live in mangrove area as their habitat. To support their visual acuity, mud crabs depend on the number of con sell as photoreceptor and carapace width. The purpose of this study … …American Journal of Animal and Veterinary Sciences, Vol. 13, Issue 1 · 27 Jan 2018 · 8,815 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractNeurophysiological Mechanisms of Rapidity Quality Development in Female Students Going in for Basketball and Volleyball at Sports ClubsAngelina Shakhanova, Aida Cheuzheva, Ekaterina Kalnaya, Tatiana PetrovaUsing the “NS-Pshykho Test” certified software package (Ivanovo, Russia), we studied the measurements of Simple Hand-Eye Response time (SHER), tapping test frequency, time of Reaction To Moving Object (RMO), Critical Flicker Fusion Frequency (CFFF) in female students going and not going in for sports (volleyball, basketball) at sports clubs. The basis of neuromotor state is formed by variants of classical … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 13, Issue 5 · 17 May 2016 · 7,608 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractComparison of Isoflurane and Sevoflurane Anesthesia in Holstein Calves for Placement of Portal and Jugular Vein CannulasGlen Sellers, Hui-Chu Lin, Manuel Felipe Chamorro, Paul Harold WalzIsoflurane and sevoflurane are the two most commonly used inhalation anesthetics in veterinary medicine today. This study compared the anesthetic effects between isoflurane and sevoflurane in 17 calves undergoing surgery for placement of portal and jugular vein cannulas. Using a randomized control trial, calves were assigned to receive sevoflurane or isoflurane. Anesthesia was induced with xylazine and ketamine then maintained … …American Journal of Animal and Veterinary Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 1 · 2 Jan 2013 · 7,909 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Appearance based Method for Eye Gaze TrackingS. V. Sheela, P. A. VijayaProblem statement: Gaze estimation systems compute the direction of eye gaze based on observed eye movements. The need for gaze-contingent applications is the basis of the current research work. The gaze pointing systems is a substitute for the existing input devices. Approach: The gaze tracking methods are either feature based or appearance based. In this study, an appearance based approach … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 8 · 15 Jul 2011 · 6,586 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractHigh-precision Detection of Facial Landmarks to Estimate Head Motions Based on Vision ModelsXiaohong W. Gao, Sergey Anishenko, Dmitry Shaposhnikov et al.A new approach of determination of head movement is presented from the pictures recorded via digital cameras monitoring the scanning processing of PET. Two human vision models of CIECAMs and BMV are applied to segment the face region via skin colour and to detect local facial landmarks respectively. The developed algorithms are evaluated on the pictures (n=12) monitoring a subject’s … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2007 · 6,820 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractLiveness Detection from Real user, Printed Pictures and Pictures on Mobile Devices from Low Resolution WebcamHajer Mohamed H Ben Amer, Dr. Leelavathi Rajamanickam, Dr. Anas A. AbboudBiometrics data have emerged as one of the most widely used technologies for validation of identity in various sectors. Nevertheless, spoof biometric data are used by attackers to get access to their targets. Hence, a number of approaches have been initiated to detect these spoofed biometric data. As such, this article proposed a complete methodology for liveness detection using low … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 13, Issue 9 · 26 Sep 2017 · 7,692 accessesView PDFCite
