Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA Dynamic Weight Assignment Approach for Index TermsKamel E. Haouam, Farhi MarirCurrently in the development of Informational Retrieval (IR) systems, a set of keywords represents the semantics of a text document and after assigning weights to the set of keywords, they are used for indexing, searching and retrieval purposes. The current approaches for assigning weights are provided by an IR model that is used by an IR system. The main objective … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2006 · 6,943 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsDynamic Bandwidth Allocation for Multiple Traffic Classes in IEEE 802.16e WiMax Networks: A Petrinet ApproachS. Geetha, R. JayaparvathyProblem statement: WiMAX supports multiple types of traffic such as data, voice and video. Each flow requires a certain minimum bandwidth to achieve its QoS. Bandwidth allocation to traffic classes should be in such a way that fairness criteria is met with. Hence, we propose a dynamic bandwidth allocation mechanism to achieve fair and efficient allocation. Approach: We present a … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 11 · 6 Sep 2011 · 7,101 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA New Indexing Technique for Information Retrieval Systems Using Rhetorical Structure Theory (RST)Muhammad Shoaib, Abad Ali ShahEffective information retrieval requires an efficient indexing technique. With the availability of huge volume of information, it has become necessary to capture the semantic of the document, which is almost impossible with the existing techniques. Moreover in the existing technique the weights once assign are remains unchangeable through out the cycle. In this paper an indexing technique assignment using Rhetorical … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2006 · 7,406 accessesView PDF Cite
