Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleDynamic Head Cluster Election Algorithm for Clustered Ad-Hoc NetworksArwa Zabian, Ahmed Ibrahim, Fadi Al-KalaniIn distributed system, the concept of clustering consists on dividing the geographical area covered by a set of nodes into small zones. In mobile network, the clustering mechanism varied due to the mobility of the nodes any time in any direction. That causes the partitioning of the network or the joining of nodes. Several existing centralized or globalized algorithm have … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2008 · 7,430 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsDynamic Weighting Technique Based Arctic Puffin Optimization for Energy Efficient Data Transmission in Wireless Sensor NetworksM. Bharathraj Kumar, S. Avinash, Prakash G. Gani, Prathapchandra ShettyWireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are designed using various sensor nodes, which are employed for communication in diverse applications that include healthcare, industrial areas, and smart cities. Specifically, WSNs demand energy-efficient clustering and routing mechanisms that assist in extending network lifetime due to the limited battery capacity of sensor nodes. However, many existing meta-heuristic-based approaches incorporate fixed objective weights that struggle … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 9 · 10 Sep 2026 · 767 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsAn Improved Location aided Cluster Based Routing Protocol with Intrusion Detection System in Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksS. Mangai, A. TamilarasiProblem statement: Routing and security are the main challenges for ad hoc networks due to dynamic topology as well as resource constraints. A designed protocol must provide scalable routing with better security. Lack of any central coordination and shared wireless medium makes them more vulnerable to attacks than wired networks. And also resource constraints such as limited energy and size … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 4 · 4 Apr 2011 · 7,103 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Efficient Cluster Head Selection in IoV-Enabled VANETs Using a Federated Diffusion Convolutional Recurrent Neural Networks FrameworkP Subhash, Madana Srinivas, A. Ranjith et al.The IoV enables the formation of VANETs that require a strong selection of CHs for effective communication within high-velocity changing traffic scenarios. Existing approaches often face issues related to scalability, privacy, and adaptability. To meet the aforementioned urgent needs, we design a decentralized scheme for intelligent CH selection based on Federated Learning with Diffusion Convolutional Recurrent Neural Networks (DCRNNs). According … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 10 · 1 Oct 2026 · 599 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEnhanced Lifetime Maximization Using Metaheuristics-Based Unequal Clustering With Routing Protocol on Wireless Sensor NetworksN. E. Kanaghadhara, R. SubanThe Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) consists of spatially distributed autonomous sensors that monitor environmental or physical factors such as sound, pressure, or temperature, and pass the information directly through the network to a sink or central location. Clustering and routing are essential in WSNs to optimize their longevity, scalability, and efficiency. Clustering includes grouping Sensor Nodes (SN) into clusters, each … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 7 · 21 Jul 2026 · 682 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractCLUSTER BASED CACHE CONSISTENCY USING AGENT TECHNIQUE IN MOBILE ENVIRONMENTShanmugarathinam Ganesarathinam, Vivekanandan KanniappanCaching is an essential mechanism in mobile environment. Mobile node makes access dynamic changing data object to their server and to get the interested data to keep their own as local copies in the cache. If the server database is updated, the data cached in mobile client is invalidated and it becomes inconsistent between client and server. In this study … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 4 · 19 Dec 2013 · 6,487 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDYNAMIC PLANNING BASED SCHEDULING APPROACH FOR WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKSM. Senthil Kumaran, R. RangarajanEnergy efficiency is an important issue in wireless sensor networks. A sensor node has a microprocessor and a small amount of memory for signal processing and task scheduling. Dynamic Planning is a method is used in this approach it combines the flexibility of dynamic scheduling with the predictability offered by schedulabilty check. Whenever a node wants to transmit data packet … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 10 · 5 Sep 2013 · 6,819 accessesView PDFCite
