Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleQuality of Service Aware Reverse Pathad-Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector ProtocolK. G. Santhiya, N. ArumugamMobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) is aninfra structureless network that does not require any built-in infra structure and central control. Due to very fast mobility of nodes, there will be drastic changes in the network topology. So an adaptive routing protocol is needed for effective and reliable routing in MANET. Ad-hoc On-demand Distance Vector (AODV) routing protocol is the efficient and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 11 · 20 Sep 2012 · 7,064 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleAn Optimized Ad Hoc on Demand Distance Vector Routing Protocol for Wireless NetworksV. Ponniyin Selvan, S. Senthil KumarProblem statement: Wireless Mesh Networks (WMN) is communication network made up of mesh routers and mesh clients, with mesh routers forming the backbone of the network. The WMN can be accessed by other networks through gateways and bridging functions in the mesh routers. The mesh clients can either be static or mobile with an option of forming a client mesh … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 7 · 21 Jun 2012 · 7,168 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleFuzzy Velocity Biased-Ad Hoc on Demand Distance Vector to Improve Throughput in Dynamic Mobile NetworkK. Tamizarasu, M. RajaramProblem statement: With the escalating demand for mobile ad hoc network projects, major challenges to system planners and designers were addressing stability and reliability problems due to frequent change of network topology. Controlling an overhead, which means bandwidth utilization due to control packets, depends on the routing protocol, topology and data traffic. Limiting the network control overheads, of this highly … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 2 · 21 Nov 2011 · 7,061 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleThe Use of Taguchi Method to Determine Factors Affecting the Performance of Destination Sequence Distance Vector Routing Protocol in Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksHazura. Mohamed, Muhammad Hisyam Lee, Mazalan Sarahintu et al.In this study, Taguchi method was used to identify the several factors that may affect the performance of Destination Sequence Distance Vector (DSDV) routing protocol. The performance of DSDV routing protocol in mobile ad hoc networks were greatly influence by factors such as node speed, node pause time and traffic load. Problem statement: By using orthogonal experimental design and analysis … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 4, Issue 4 · 31 Dec 2008 · 7,803 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titlePERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF RANDOMIZED REVERSE AD HOC ON DEMAND DISTANCE VECTOR ROUTING PROTOCOL IN MANETK. Santhi, B. ParvathavarthiniIn high mobility, routing in Mobile Ad-Hoc Network is a very difficult task. In AODV and RAODV, all the data packets are travel through the same shortest path so the intruders can easily trace out the data path. The main objective of Randomized RAODV provides the multipath and then the paths are selected randomly for security purposes. Using randomized routing … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 9 · 30 Apr 2014 · 6,813 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titlePerformance Evaluation of Probabilistic Relay in Ad Hoc On-demand Distance Vector and Ad Hoc On-demand Multipath Distance Vector Under Highly Dynamic EnvironmentsRadityo Anggoro, Teruaki Kitasuka, Ryoji Nakamura, Masayoshi AritsugiVehicular Ad hoc Networks (VANETs) are a specific class of Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs). Since vehicles tend to move in a high speed, the network topology is rapidly changed. Thus vehicle’s connectivity problem is one of the interesting issues in VANETs. Ad hoc On-demand Multipath Distance Vector (AOMDV) is an extended version of ad hoc on-demand distance vector (AODV). … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 7 · 22 Jun 2013 · 7,054 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleEvaluation of Ad Hoc on Demand Distance Vector Routing Protocol in HetMAN ArchitectureZahian Ismail, Rosilah HassanProblem statement: Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET), a type of network with special characteristics, needs a special mechanism to bear with its ad hoc behavior. Approach: The important issue in MANET is routing protocol. Routing protocol is a standard used to determine the route path taken during the transmission of data. Results: In this study we focused on the Ad … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2010 · 6,336 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleIntegrated Metric-Ad Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector: A Routing Protocol over Wireless Mesh NetworksMd. Arafatur Rahman, Farhat Anwar, Md. Saiful AzadProblem statement: Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) is an emerging technology for wireless environment. Since WMNs are permanent or semi-permanent network, an efficient and reliable path establishment is the core concern for such type of networks. Several performance metrics has been designed for WMNs such as Expected Transmission Count (ETX), Expected Transmission Time (ETT), interference Aware Routing Metric (iAWARE), Link Type … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2009 · 7,498 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA Swarm-based Distance Vector Routing to Support Multiple Quality of Service (QoS) Metrics in Mobile Adhoc NetworksR. Asokan, A. M. Natarajan, A. NivethaQuality of Service support for Mobile Ad-hoc Networks is a challenging task due to dynamic topology and limited resource. The main purpose of QoS routing is to find a feasible path that has sufficient resources to satisfy the constraints. A fundamental problem in QoS routing is to find a path between a source and destination that satisfies two or more … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2007 · 6,671 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleEVALUATING AN AUTHENTICATED TRUST BASED ADHOC ON DEMAND DISTANCE VECTOR FOR MALICIOUS NODES ISOLATION IN MANETA. Sumathi, B. Vinayaga SundaramMANET networks are defined as the wireless self configuring networks that are capable of operating without the support of any fixed infrastructure and a central coordinator which makes the routing a complicated task. For detecting misbehaving and selfish nodes between the intermediate nodes it is essential to evaluate the Intermediate Trust Value (ITV) for each node in the network, so … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 9 · 30 Apr 2014 · 6,789 accessesView PDFCite
