Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA New Scalable and Reliable Cost Effective Key Agreement Protocol for Secure Group CommunicationS. Jabeen Begum, Dr. T. PurusothamanProblem statement: In a heterogeneous environment, for a secure multicast communication, the group members have to share a secret key which is used to encrypt/decrypt the secret messages among the members. The Secure Group Communication of large scale multicast group in a dynamic environment is more complex than securing one-to-one communication due to the inherent scalability issue of group key … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 3 · 7 Mar 2011 · 6,960 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDoIP Interfacer System: A Low-Cost Alternative to Computer for Basic Network Communication in LAN EnvironmentEmmanuel Jo-el Tay, Choong Fook Lim, HemalathaProblem statement: Computer, very important to human society because of its capability in performing complex task. Questions were raised on the practicality of using computer for basic network communication where cost, portability and flexibility are major concerns. Explore a low-cost alternative to computer for basic network communication in LAN environment which consumes less power and portable as well as to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2009 · 6,829 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAN EFFICIENT AUTONOMOUS KEY MANAGEMENT WITH REDUCED COMMUNICATION/COMPUTATION COSTS IN MOBILE AD HOC NETWORKM. Devi, S. Chenthur PandianA primary concern in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) is security. Secret sharing is an effective way to distribute a secret among n parties, where each party holds one piece of the secret. A number of key management schemes have been proposed for MANETs. However the secret sharing to control key hierarchy needs larger message transmission costs in many techniques. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 10 · 5 Sep 2013 · 6,778 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsA CLUSTERING-BASED HYBRID REPLICA CONTROL PROTOCOL FOR HIGH AVAILABILITY IN GRID ENVIRONMENTRohaya Latip, Zulaile Mabni, Hamidah Ibrahim et al.In recent years, with the emergence of grid computing system, the number of distributed sites has become very large. When thousands of sites involved in a grid computing system, data replication can improve data availability, communication cost and provide fault-tolerance in the system. In the literature, many replica control protocols have been proposed for managing replicated data. However, in large … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 12 · 24 Dec 2014 · 8,487 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsDesign and Cost Performance of Decoding Technique for Hybrid Subcarrier Spectral Amplitude Coding-Optical Code Division Multiple Access SystemR.K.Z. Sahbudin, M.K. Abdullah, M. Mokhtar et al.Problem statement: A hybrid technique combining subcarrier multiplexed and Spectral Amplitude Coding-Optical Code Division Multiple Access (SAC-OCDMA) deploying the Khazani-Syed code was proposed. It was proposed as a mean of increasing the maximum number of simultaneous active users by increasing the subcarrier and/or the SAC-OCDMA code word. Multiple Access Interference (MAI) is the most dominant cause of performance degradation in … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 10 · 4 Aug 2011 · 6,875 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDelay-Conscious Service Quality Constraint in IoT Sensor Networks for Smart FarmingZatin Gupta, Amit Kumar BindalThe Internet of Things (IoT) offers different services for the agriculture industry, such as monitoring and analysing real-time data related to current weather conditions, water level, irrigation requirements, growth of plant disease and health status/temperature/humidity, etc.,). The performance of IoT networks may vary due to environmental conditions and operational areas (rural area/urban area/underwater). These constraints may degrade the transmission quality … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 19, Issue 8 · 9 Aug 2023 · 5,385 accessesView PDFCite
