Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleCUDA-Powered EDSR x4: Super-Resolution for Real-Time Video EnhancementGaneshayya Shidaganti, Shubeeksh Kumaran, Vishwachetan DSuper-Resolution enhances image or video quality by upscaling frames to higher resolutions, which is essential for applications like investigative analysis demanding higher quality. However, this process is resource-intensive. GPUs, with their thousands of CUDA cores, offer significant parallel processing advantages over CPUs, enabling faster performance. This paper presents an optimized approach for real-time video enhancement using the EDSR x4 model … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 6 · 23 May 2025 · 5,805 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the keywordsPARALLEL IMPLEMENTATION OF EXPECTATION-MAXIMISATION ALGORITHM FOR THE TRAINING OF GAUSSIAN MIXTURE MODELSG. F. Araújo, H. T. Macedo, M. T. Chella et al.Most machine learning algorithms need to handle large data sets. This feature often leads to limitations on processing time and memory. The Expectation-Maximization (EM) is one of such algorithms, which is used to train one of the most commonly used parametric statistical models, the Gaussian Mixture Models (GMM). All steps of the algorithm are potentially parallelizable once they iterate over … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 10 · 9 Jul 2014 · 6,937 accessesView PDF Cite
