Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordAI-Integrated Probabilistic Optimization for Inventory Control Under Stochastic DemandJanardan BeheraThe identification and operationalization of increasingly nonstationary and volatile demand patterns challenge the conduct of inventory management in contemporary supply chains. The classical models, especially EOQ and static policies, rest on the stability of demand assumptions, either deterministically or distributionally, and are hence less apt under real-world uncertainty. In view of these limitations, the present study puts forward an integrated … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 22, Issue 1 · 6 May 2026 · 2,217 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordEnhancing Social Media Face Emotion Recognition Using a Fuzzy ELM ApproachShuchi Gupta, K. Viswanath, S. Gokul Pran et al.Our computational tools for searching, exploring, and sharing personal photographs are falling behind the rapid pace at which these images are being captured digitally. The use of automatic face recognition to categorize images according to the people in them is one potential solution. Accurate recognition on the Internet scale, however, presents the seemingly insurmountable challenge of picking out specific people … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 3 · 20 Mar 2026 · 1,978 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA Context-Aware Temporal Convolutional Network for Water Replacement Prediction in Catfish Biofloc Ponds With Imbalanced Event HandlingYaddarabullah, Inanpi Hidayati Sumiasih, Mutiara Dewi PuspitawatiWater replacement is a biologically critical yet under-automated decision in biofloc-based aquaculture systems. Mistimed actions can destabilize microbial ecosystems, elevate fish mortality, and compromise sustainability through excessive water usage. Traditional rule-based heuristics often fail to account for the nonlinear and multiscale dynamics of pond environments. To address this, we propose a Context-Aware Temporal Convolutional Network (CA-TCN), a rare-event classification framework … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 3 · 5 Mar 2026 · 1,664 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordAn Innovative Method for Recognizing Face Expressions Based on Genetic Algorithm and Extreme Learning Based Hybrid ModelTushar Dhar Shukla, Md Oqail Ahmad, Puneet Sapra et al.The detection of facial action coding system Action Units (AU) and other facial expressions has been a major focus of computer science for more than 20 years categorizing discrete emotional states based on facial expressions. While several widely used face expression databases exist, standardization and comparability remain key challenges. The lack of a universally recognized assessment procedure and insufficient information … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 2 · 18 Jan 2025 · 7,293 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordA Novel Dialect-Aware Framework for the Classification of Arabic Dialects and EmotionsNasser AlsadhanArabic is one of the oldest languages still in use today. As a result, several Arabic-speaking regions have developed dialects that are unique to them. Dialect and emotion recognition have various uses in Arabic text analysis, such as determining an online customer's origin based on their comments. Furthermore, intelligent chatbots that are aware of a user's emotions can respond appropriately … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 1 · 8 Dec 2024 · 5,411 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordThe Use of Biosensors to Analyse a Soldier’s Stress LevelJosé Miguel Martinho Silva, Ricardo A. Marques Lameirinhas et al.Currently and increasingly, biosensors are present in our daily lives, even if tendentiously and imperceptibly. As such and given their importance, the scientific community is clearly interested in making progress in this research field. This study is part of the study of biosensors using pre-gelled electrodes and was focused on the analysis of the ability to extract information on the … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 17, Issue 2 · 1 Mar 2024 · 4,972 accessesView PDFCite
