Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordIndoor Positioning System Using Artificial Neural NetworkHamid Mehmood, Nitin K. Tripathi, Taravudh TipdechoProblem statement: Location knowledge in indoor environment using Indoor Positioning Systems (IPS) has become very useful and popular in recent years. A number of Location Based Services (LBS) have been developed, which are based on IPS, these LBS include asset tracking, inventory management and security based applications. Many next-generation LBS applications such as social networking, local search, advertising and geo-tagging … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 10 · 30 Aug 2010 · 8,838 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordData Optimization with Multilayer Perceptron Neural Network and Using New Pattern in Decision Tree ComparativelyMurat Kayri, Omay CoklukProblem statement: The aim of the present study is to exemplify the use of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) for parameter prediction. Missing value or unreal approach to some questions in scale is a problem for unbiased findings. To learn a real pattern with ANN provides robust and unbiased parameter estimation. Approach: To this end, data was collected from 906 students … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 5 · 31 May 2010 · 7,200 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordNeuro-Based Artificial Intelligence Model for Loan DecisionsShorouq Fathi Eletter, Saad Ghaleb Yaseen, Ghaleb Awad ElrefaeProblem statement: Despite the increase in consumer loans defaults and competition in the banking market, most of the Jordanian commercial banks are reluctant to use artificial intelligence software systems for supporting loan decisions. Approach: This study developed a proposed model that identifies artificial neural network as an enabling tool for evaluating credit applications to support loan decisions in the Jordanian … …American Journal of Economics and Business Administration, Vol. 2, Issue 1 · 31 Mar 2010 · 10,803 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordChoice Of Input Data Type Of Artificial Neural Network To Detect Faults In Alternative Current SystemsT. Benslimane, B. Chetate, R. BeguenaneThis paper present a study on different input data types of ANN used to detect faults such as over-voltage in AC systems (AC network , induction motor). The input data of ANN are AC voltage and current. In no fault condition, voltage and current are sinusoidal. The input data of the ANN may be the instantaneous values of voltage and … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 3, Issue 8 · 31 Aug 2006 · 6,775 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordApplication of Rainfall-runoff Models to Zard River Catchment'sM. B. Rahnama, G. A. BaraniRainfall-runoff models are nonlinear processes according to the sequential and spatial distribution of the rainfall. So, it is difficult to explain the response of catchments systems with the simple models. In the present work simulation of the rainfall-runoff processes have been carried out by the Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) and the HEC-HMS models. The ANN models of Multi Layer Perceptron … …American Journal of Environmental Sciences, Vol. 1, Issue 1 · 31 Mar 2005 · 6,528 accessesView PDFCite
