Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleCorrelating and Modeling of Extracted Features from PVT Images of Composites using Optical Flow Technique and Weight Elimination Algorithm Optimization [OFT-WEA]Mahmoud Zaki IskandaraniA new approach to the use and implementation of Optical Flow technique is presented. The technique extracts features from presented images as a function of reference image and produces percentage of matching between the reference and tested images. The new approach in using Optical Flow lies in replacing the motion part of the algorithm with differential time related changes in … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 13, Issue 9 · 29 Sep 2017 · 7,328 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleThe Application of Numerical Taxonomy Technique in the Iron Ore Flotation to Determine Appropriate pH and Particle Size DistributionRasoul Khosravi, Fahimeh Dehghani, Hossein Siavoshi et al.The numerical taxonomic technique is one of the multivariate decision-making techniques for assessment and ranking. It is widely used for planning and development studies. In this research, flotation experiments were conducted for Band Narges mine iron ore using different pH and particle size ranges. Numerical taxonomy technique, as one of the most important multi-attribute decision-making techniques, was used to determine … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 13, Issue 4 · 24 Dec 2020 · 6,699 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Constraint-Handling Technique for Genetic Algorithms using a Violation FactorAdam Chehouri, Rafic Younes, Jean Perron, Adrian IlincaOver the years, several meta-heuristic algorithms were proposed and are now emerging as common methods for constrained optimization problems. Among them, genetic algorithms (GA’s) shine as popular evolutionary algorithms (EA’s) in engineering optimization. Most engineering design problems are difficult to resolve with conventional optimization algorithms because they are highly nonlinear and contain constraints. In order to handle these constraints, the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 12, Issue 7 · 31 Aug 2016 · 8,758 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSecurity in MANET’s by Using Detective Signature TechniquesGayathri A., P. NarayanasamyMobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) is one among the fastest growing area in the field of research where security is a vital factor for protecting MANET against attacks, EAACK is an acknowledgement based IDS which is composed of three parts namely, ACK, S-ACK and MRA along with digital signature to provide security against attacks. Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleCLUSTER BASED CACHE CONSISTENCY USING AGENT TECHNIQUE IN MOBILE ENVIRONMENTShanmugarathinam Ganesarathinam, Vivekanandan KanniappanCaching is an essential mechanism in mobile environment. Mobile node makes access dynamic changing data object to their server and to get the interested data to keep their own as local copies in the cache. If the server database is updated, the data cached in mobile client is invalidated and it becomes inconsistent between client and server. In this study … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 4 · 19 Dec 2013 · 6,492 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleEffective Authentication Technique for Distributed Denial of Service Attacks in Wireless Local Area NetworksM. Moorthy, S. SathiyabamaProblem statement: In 802.11-based Wireless LAN (WLAN), there is an mproved risk of security attacks. To defeat concealed attacks, there is a necessity to authenticate both access points and wireless stations. Approach: We propose a defensive technique for DDoS attack in WLAN. This authentication technique includes an Authentication Server (AS) in addition to the Wireless Station (WS) and Access Point … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 6 · 14 Mar 2012 · 7,079 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleCustomer-Made 3×3 Polymer Optical Fiber Splitter Based on Green Technology using Fusion TechniqueMohammad Syuhaimi Ab-Rahman, Nik Nur Syahirah Mohammad, Hadi Guna et al.Problem statement: Polymer Optical Fiber (POF) has many advantages making it the choice of today’s communication, especially in automotive industry. This communication requires low cost ways for much information to be sent simultaneously. Because of this, using Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) concept, a low cost and green 3×3 POF splitter is fabricated. It is fabricated using cheap and easy-to-find tools … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 4 · 11 Feb 2012 · 6,848 accessesView PDFCite
