Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleThe Application of Multi-Agent Technology on Transient Stability Assessment of Iraqi Super Grid NetworkAfaneen A. Abood, Ahmed N. Abdalla, Shant K. AvakianThe aim of this research is improving the Iraqi control center's capabilities for monitoring and controlling the electrical network by adopting the properties of multi-agent technology to enhance power system transient stability. The idea was demonstrated by two agent's strategy, the first agent is a prediction one that will predict power system instability by a transient stability program using the … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2008 · 7,325 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleTraffic Signal Using Smart Agent SystemCheonshik Kim, You-Sik HongIn this research, we propose an electro-sensitive traffic light using the smart agent algorithm to reduce traffic congestion and traffic accidents. The multi-agent system approach can provide a new and preferable solution. The proposed method adaptively controls the cycle of traffic signals even though the traffic volume varies. Consequently, we reduce the car waiting time and start-up delay time using … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2008 · 6,958 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Software Agent for Automatic Creation of a PLC ProgramWalid Mohamed AlyUsing structured design techniques to design a Programmable Logical Control (PLC) program would decrease the time needed for debugging and produces a concise bug free code. This study is concerned with the design of a software agent for automatic creation of code for a PLC program that can be downloaded on a Siemens Step 7 series. The code is generated … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 5 · 31 May 2008 · 6,714 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDesign, Validation, Simulation and Parametric Evaluation of a Novel Protocol for Locating Mobile Agents in Multiregion EnvironmentRama Sushil, Kumkum Garg, Rama BhargavaMobile agents are processes that can be dispatched from source computer and be transported to remote servers for execution, have been widely argued to be an important enabling technology for future systems. Location management is a necessity for locating mobile agents in a network of mobile agent hosts for controlling, monitoring and communication during processing and it still represents an … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2008 · 6,940 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Multi-Agent Architecture for QoS Support in Grid EnvironmentAli Rezaee, Amir M. Rahmani, Saeed Parsa, Sahar AdabiGrid computing is emerged as a new distributed computing technology that implements flexible and coordinated resource sharing among dynamic, heterogeneous, unpredictable and geographically distributed collections of resources owned by different individuals and organizations. Due to heterogeneous and dynamic nature of the grid, resource management and application scheduling is a complex undertaking. This paper proposed a multi-agent architecture that addressed resource … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2008 · 7,082 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAgent-Based Design for E-learning EnvironmentKhadidja Harbouche, Mahieddine DjoudiWe presented an agent-based e-learning environment. Our aim was to allow many users to interact collectively and intelligently with the environment. In this cooperation model, human users and artificial agents carry out tasks in the learners’ service. We define the internal structure of our kernel supposed to work within Internet/Intranet settings. Design was structured in three parts: individual learning space, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 6 · 30 Jun 2007 · 6,958 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSecure Mobile Trade AgentMusbah M. Aqel, Sattar J. Aboud, Mohammed A. AL-FayoumiE-commerce on the internet has the ability to produce millions of transactions and a great number of merchants whose supply merchandise over the internet. As a result, it is difficult for entities to roam over every site on the internet and choose the best merchandise to trade. So, in this paper we introduced a mobile trade agent that visit the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 5 · 31 May 2007 · 6,770 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleA Secure Protocol Based on a Sedentary Agent for Mobile Agent EnvironmentsAbdelmorhit E. Rhazi, Samuel Pierre, Hanifa BouchenebThe main challenge when deploying mobile agent environments pertains to security issues concerning mobile agents and their executive platform. This paper proposes a secure protocol which protects mobile agents against attacks from malicious hosts in these environments. Protection is based on the perfect cooperation of a sedentary agent running inside a trusted third host. Results show that the protocol detects … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2007 · 6,881 accessesView PDFCite
