Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractControl of Hybrid Systems With Independent Continuous and Discrete GoalsM. De la Sen, J.C. Soto, A. Gallego, J.L. MalainaThis paper deals with the control of a class of perfectly modelled linear hybrid systems which consist of two, in general coupled, subsystems one being continuous -time while the second one is digital. Both subsystems are driven by continuous time and sampled values of a control input. The description of the overall system is given through an extended hybrid system … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2008 · 7,133 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractImproving Mechanical Characteristics of Inverter-induction Motor Drive SystemHussein Sarhan, Rateb IssaAn inverter-three-phase squirrel-cage induction motor drive system with improved mechanical characteristics is presented. The proposed system provides mechanical characteristics with constant maximum torque or increased maximum torque and reduced slip speed at frequencies below the nominal frequency. The control algorithm is based on the constant volts per hertz principle using two improvement techniques: keeping maximum torque constant or keeping magnetic … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 3, Issue 8 · 31 Aug 2006 · 7,659 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractIntelligent Control for Self-erecting Inverted Pendulum Via Adaptive Neuro-fuzzy Inference SystemA. A. Saifizul, Z. Zainon, N. A.Abu Osman et al.A self-erecting single inverted pendulum (SESIP) is one of typical nonlinear systems. The control scheme running the SESIP consists of two main control loops. Namely, these control loops are swing-up controller and stabilization controller. A swing-up controller of an inverted pendulum system must actuate the pendulum from the stable position. While a stabilization controller must stand the pendulum in the … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 3, Issue 4 · 30 Apr 2006 · 7,322 accessesView PDF Cite
