Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractData Relay Clustering Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks: A Data Mining ApproachS. Nithyakalyani, S. Suresh KumarProblem statement: Nowadays sensors are very essential for today life to monitor environment where human cannot get involved very often. Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) are used in many real world applications like environmental monitoring, traffic control, trajectory monitoring. It is more challenging for sensor network to sense and collect a large amount of data which are continuous over time, which … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 8 · 14 Jul 2012 · 7,199 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDistributed Cluster Based Routing Technique with Multiple Sinks for Wireless Sensor NetworksS. V. Manisekaran, R. VenkatesanProblem Statement: In order to reduce or minimize energy consumption and to improve bandwidth utilization in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), it was essential to consider its architecture in the network topology, power consumption, data rate and fault tolerance. Our objective is to formulate an effective cluster formation of nodes with multiple sinks to reduce power consumption and minimize the data … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 8 · 28 Jun 2012 · 6,867 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractFuzzy Based Secure Data Aggregation Technique in Wireless Sensor NetworksD. HevinRajesh, B. ParamasivanProblem statement: Secure data aggregation is a challenging task in wireless sensor network due to the facts like more complexity, greater overhead in the case of cryptographic techniques. These issues need to be overcome using efficient technique. Approach: We propose a fuzzy based secure data aggregation technique which was having 3 phases. In its first phase, it performs clustering and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 6 · 17 Mar 2012 · 7,257 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEnergy Constrained Secure Hierarchical Data Aggregation in Wireless Sensor NetworksV. Bhoopathy, R. M.S. ParvathiProblem statement: Wireless sensor networks, brings out variety of different challenges at energy level, integrity, authentication, communication cost. Approach: In the secure data aggregation techniques, reduction in the energy consumption was not elaborated in detail, since aggregator means of connection to sink was either direct or through other aggregators which need high energy level. Results: We suggest an Energy Constrained … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 6 · 16 Mar 2012 · 7,382 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractRealization of Fault Tolerant Routing Protocol for ZigbeeSharmila Sankar, SankaranarayananProblem statement: Increased use of handheld devices and sensor devices pose problems in existing routing protocols. The performance of the existing routing protocols deteriorates very much on these dense scenarios. Control overheads are very important parameter in deciding the performance of routing protocols, which are introduced during route discovery and maintenance process. Denser the network, higher is the control overhead … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 5 · 2 Mar 2012 · 6,828 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSecure Authentication Technique for Data Aggregation in Wireless Sensor NetworksV. Bhoopathy, R. M.S. ParvathiProblem statement: In Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), serious security threat is caused by node capture attacks where an adversary gains full control over a sensor node through direct physical access. Approach: This creates a high risk of data confidentiality. Results: We propose a secure authentication technique for data aggregation in WSN. During first round of data aggregation, the aggregator upon … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 2 · 24 Jan 2012 · 7,290 accessesView PDFCite
