Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAdaptive Linear Prediction Augmented Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average Based Prediction for VBR Video TrafficT. Raghuveera, P. V.S. Kumar, K. S. EaswarakumarProblem statement: Network traffic prediction plays a vital role in the optimal resource allocation and management in computer networks. This study introduces an ARIMA based model augmented by Adaptive Linear Prediction (ALP) for the real time prediction of VBR video traffic. The synergy of the two can successfully address the challenges in traffic prediction such as accuracy in prediction, resource … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 6 · 14 Jun 2011 · 7,018 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPerformance Analysis of Resource Selection Algorithms in Grid Computing EnvironmentMalarvizhi Nandagopal, Rhymend UthariarajProblem statement: Meta- scheduling has become important due to increased number of jobs and resources in the area of grid computing to achieve the objectives of grid users and grid resources. Approach: A variety of factors need to be considered for effective scheduling of resources in such environments such as total time job spend in the grid system, global and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 4 · 4 Apr 2011 · 6,902 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDesign of 16-point Radix-4 Fast Fourier Transform in 0.18µm CMOS TechnologySiva Kumar Palaniappan, Tun Zainal Azni ZulkifliThis paper introduces detail design of semi-custom CMOS Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) architecture for computing 16-point radix-4 FFT. FFT is one of the most widely used algorithms in digital signal processing. It is used in many signal processing and communication application as an important block for various multi-carrier systems such as for WLAN (Wireless local area network). This paper describes … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 8 · 31 Aug 2007 · 7,169 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractThe Influence of Social Capital on Adoption of Rural Development Programs by Farmers in the Caspian Sea Region of IranA. Ahmadi Firouzjaie, H. Sadighi, M.A. MohammadiThe main purpose of this study was to measure social capital (consisting of structural and cognitive) of mainly rice producing farmers in the Caspian See region of Iran. The secondary purpose was to determine the influence of farmers' social capital on adoption of Rural Development Programs (RDPs). This was a descriptive-correlation and a causal-comparative survey study. The population of this … …American Journal of Agricultural and Biological Sciences, Vol. 2, Issue 1 · 31 Mar 2007 · 8,034 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractENHANCED LOAD BALANCING STRATEGY IN HETEROGENEOUS PEER-TO-PEER NETWORKSP. Murugesan, A. ShanmugamExisting P2P systems provide a Duty Cycle Data Appropriation (DCDA) Technique allocate objects based on ranking among “peer nodes” in a method that result in various nodes containing times as numerous objects as the standard node. Further disparity might effect owing to non-uniform allocation of objects in the identifier break and a high amount of heterogeneity in objective loads and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 9 · 6 Aug 2013 · 6,435 accessesView PDFCite
