Marcolino, Edson OliveiraJrAlthough variability management is one of the main activities of software product lines, current literature provides almost no empirical evaluations on variability management approaches based on UML. This paper aims at experimentally comparing two approaches and picks SMarty and PLUS as representative examples. Such comparison takes into account their effectiveness of expressing correctly and incorrectly variabilities in UML class diagrams. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 13, Issue 11 · 9 Nov 2017 · 7,455 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordExperimental Investigation of Thermo-Physical Properties of Soil Using Solarisation TechnologyAhmed Abed Gatea Al-Shammary, Abbas Kouzani, Akif Kaynak et al.Soil Thermo-Physical Properties (TPP) depend on heat transfer in the soil. This paper presents a study on different soil solarisation technologies influenced by soil TPP. This study evaluates three factors: The tillage depth for soil at three levels (15, 25 and 45 cm), the number of plastic film at three levels (single, double and without plastic film) and three cases … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 14, Issue 7 · 17 Jul 2017 · 7,957 accessesView PDFCite

Energy audit and refurbishment of the Day-Hospital building of a great Italian health care facility are proposed. A meticulous energy diagnosis of the base case building and design of a … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 4 · 20 Jan 2016 · 8,068 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordNitric Oxide Donors with Therapeutic Strategic in Experimental Schistossomiasis MansoniWander Rogério Pavanelli, Jean Jerley Nogueira da Silva, Carolina Panis et al.Schistosomiasis, an immune disease, remains a major public health problem in endemic area. To determine the influence of Nitric Oxide (NO) on this disease, we tested two compounds (Trans-[Ru(bpy)2(NO)SO3](PF6)-PF6 and Na2[Fe(CN)5(NO)]-SNP, which releases NO when activated by biological reducing agents, in BALB/c mice infected subcutaneously by Schistosoma BH strains. The parasitic activity of NO-donors was evaluated in this model by … …American Journal of Immunology, Vol. 10, Issue 4 · 24 Feb 2015 · 7,851 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordPredicting the Severity of Breast Masses with Ensemble of Bayesian ClassifiersAlaa M. ElsayadProblem statement: This study evaluated two different Bayesian classifiers; tree augmented Naive Bayes and Markov blanket estimation networks in order to build an ensemble model for prediction the severity of breast masses. The objective of the proposed algorithm was to help physicians in their decisions to perform a breast biopsy on a suspicious lesion seen in a mammogram image or … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 5 · 31 May 2010 · 7,299 accessesView PDFCite

HusainProblem statement: Nowadays, digital watermarks have recently become recognized as a solution for protecting copyright of the digital multimedia. For a watermark to be useful, it must be perceptually invisible and robust against any possible attack and image processing by those who seek to corsair the material, researchers have considered various approaches like JPEG compression, geometric distortions and noising. Approach: … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 8 · 31 Aug 2009 · 7,246 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordModeling of Fundamental Frequency Contours for Thai Dialects with Large Speech DatabaseSuphattharachai ChomphanIn four core regions of Thailand, there are four main dialects including central, north, northeast and south dialects. The prosody is significantly unique for each dialect. One important factor determining the prosody is the fundamental frequency. As a result, modeling of Fundamental frequency (F0) contour is very important for the natural speech processing. Even though there are many modeling techniques … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 12 · 20 Dec 2012 · 7,341 accessesView PDFCite
