Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEFFICIENT KEY MANAGEMENT AND AUTHENTICATION SCHEME FOR WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKST. Lalitha, R. Saravana Kumar, R. HamsaveniWireless Sensor Networks (WSN) is vulnerable to node capture attacks in which an attacker can capture one or more sensor nodes and reveal all stored security information which enables him to compromise a part of the WSN communications. Due to large number of sensor nodes and lack of information about deployment and hardware capabilities of sensor node, key management in … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 6 · 10 Apr 2014 · 6,981 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractCOMPARATIVE STUDY ON ENERGY CONSUMPTION IN DYNAMIC WINDOW SECURED IMPLICIT GEOGRAPHIC FORWARDING ROUTING PROTOCOLAbubakar Idris Umar, Zurina Mohd HanapiAn Ideal WSNs should operate with the least possible energy required in order to increase the lifetime of the sensor nodes and at the same time, ensure network connectivity. But the Inherent power limitation makes power-awareness a critical requirement for WSN, this calls for the need to manage energy in sensor nodes. Also In order to ensure successful transmission of … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 9 · 9 Apr 2014 · 6,859 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDETECTING MULTIPLE INTRUSION ATTACKS USING PERMANENT GIRTH CLUSTERING MODEL IN WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKG. Jayamurugan, P. KamalakkannanSecurity is the central challenge and one of the serious concerns for designing reliable sensor networks. Of the different types of security threats in wireless sensor network, particularly dangerous attack is the replica node attack, in which the opponent takes the secret keying materials from a compromised node. It then produces large number of attacker-controlled replicas that divide up the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 8 · 1 Apr 2014 · 6,467 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF ADHOC ON DEMAND DISTANCE VECTOR PROTOCOL WITH BLACKHOLE ATTACK IN WSNMuhammad Ibrahim Channa, Kamalrulnizam Abu Bakar, Adnan AhmedThe security is major challenging issue in wireless sensor network applications because they are operated in public and unrestrained areas which also makes difficult to protect against tampering or captured by an adversary force that can launch insider attacks to make a node compromised. One type of such attack is black hole attack. Existing AODV routing protocol does not have … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 8 · 26 Feb 2014 · 7,588 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractREVIEW ON MULTI-AGENT SYSTEM COLLABORATION IN LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM DOMAIN BY DEPLOYING WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKS FOR STUDENT LOCATION DETECTIONA. K. Mwinyi, S. A.R. AL-Haddad, S. J. Bin Hashim, R. Bin Hj AbdullahStudent location detection in Learning Management System (LMS) by utilizing Multi-Agent System (MAS) which contains sensor nodes is a new area of research. This study reviews several studies to ascertain the potential of integrating these two technologies to automate students’ class attendance in Higher Learning Institutions (HLIs). Currently, the HLIs are using paper-based process to record students’ attendance in the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 6 · 30 Jan 2014 · 7,677 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractOPTIMIZING LOCALIZATION ROUTE USING PARTICLE SWARM-A GENETIC APPROACHL. Lakshmanan, D. C. TomarOne of the most key problems in wireless sensor networks is finding optimal algorithms for sending packets from source node to destination node. Several algorithms exist in literature, since some are in vital role other may not. Since WSN focus on low power consumption during packet transmission and receiving, finally we adopt by merging swarm particle based algorithm with genetic … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 3 · 20 Jan 2014 · 7,381 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractFFA-CONTEXT AWARE ENERGY EFFICIENT ROUTING USING FAST REACTIVE AND ADAPTIVE ALGORITHMP. Kavitha Rani, E. KannanA vital issue of routing is how to efficiently strengthen energy consumption of the whole network and to avoid the energy-hole which leads to node failure or node death; this scenario makes the network to work improperly and leads to network death, Here we proves our hypothesis with linearity between routing and linear principles. Our proposed work effectively utilizes the … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 2 · 26 Dec 2013 · 6,617 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractTWO PHASE CLUSTERING METHOD FOR LEACH PROTOCOL FOR EFFECTIVE CLUSTER HEAD SELECTIONRathi, ViswanathanA Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) comprise of a huge quantity of clusters of sensor nodes that can inter communicate with all nodes and with the base station through a wireless link. All clusters are corresponding to a cluster head to provide a direct communication to the base station and in addition with other cluster heads. Obviously well-organized selection of cluster … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 3 · 21 Nov 2013 · 7,122 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAdvanced Energy Efficient Passive Clustering Mobility in Wireless Sensor NetworksAouad Siham, Maach Abdelillah, El Ganami DrissWireless sensor networks have a wide applicability and increase deployment in the near future. In most of those applications, the network is composed of an important number of nodes deployed in an extensive area in which not all nodes are directly connected and based on clustering techniques. The Clustering can considerably reduce transmission overhead during flooding. In fact, by using … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 12 · 24 Oct 2013 · 6,756 accessesView PDFCite
