Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractFuzzy Subalgebras and Fuzzy T-ieals in TM-AlgebrasKandasamy Megalai, Angamuthu TamilarasiIn this study, we introduce the concepts of fuzzy subalgebras and fuzzy ideals in TM-algebras and investigate some of its properties. Problem statement: Let X be a TM-algebra, S be a subalgebra of X and I be a T-ideal of X. Let µ and v be fuzzy sets in a TM-algebra X. Approach: Define the upper level subset µt of … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 7, Issue 2 · 18 May 2011 · 8,718 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDesign of Synthetic Optimizing Neuro Fuzzy Temperature Controller for Dual Screw Profile Plastic Extruder Using LabviewRavi Samikannu, Balakrishnan Anantharaman PoonamallieProblem statement: The temperature control in plastic extrusion machine is an important factor to produce high quality plastic products. The first order temperature control system in plastic extrusion comprises of coupling effects, long delay time and large time constants. Controlling temperature is very difficult as the process is multistage process and the system coupled with each other. In order to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 5 · 7 May 2011 · 7,112 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEvaluating the Green Suppliers of the Printed Circuit Board Factories Base on the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process and Vlsekriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno ResenjeJun-Yuan Kuo, Ben-Chang Shia, Yun-Chin Chen, Jou-Ying HoProblem statement: The “Energy Policy for Europe, EPE” and three environmental directives, proposed by the European Union (EU) in 2007, are stricter than those self-restrained by the enterprises. For this reason, the enterprises have to shortly improve their products for meeting with the strict requests setup by the EU. Consequently, it becomes even more important that the manufacturers evaluate the … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 3 · 25 Mar 2011 · 7,878 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSynchronization of Chaos Systems Using Fuzzy LogicMohammad Ababneh, Issa Etier, Mahmoud Smadi, Jasim GhaebProblem statement: This study presented a new and systematic method to robustly synchronize uncertain chaos systems. It was derived based on the observer approach for synchronization, where error dynamics was made asymptotically stable around the zero to accomplish synchronization. Approach: This method viewed the synchronization problem as a control problem in order to make use of the literature available in … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 2 · 25 Feb 2011 · 7,642 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDevelopment of Fuzzy Controller for Water Level in Stream Boiler TankSurachai PanichProblem statement: The process control of steam boiler is very popular used in the industrial. The temperature of the water is transferred directly by electrical heater. The pressure will increase based on the changing of the temperature. The purpose of the control is to change the opening set point for the valve when the temperature and pressure in the tank … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 11 · 23 Oct 2010 · 8,035 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAdaptive Fuzzy Knowledge Based Controller for Autonomous Robot Motion ControlMbaitiga ZacharieProblem statement: Research into robot motion control offers research opportunities that will change scientists and engineers for year to come. Autonomous robots are increasingly evident in many aspects of industry and everyday life and a robust robot motion control can be used for homeland security and many consumer applications. This study discussed the adaptive fuzzy knowledge based controller for robot … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 10 · 30 Jul 2010 · 6,909 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractModification Approach of Fuzzy Logic Model for Predicting of Cutting Force When Machining Nickel Based Hastelloy C-276Basim A. Khidhir, Bashir Mohamed, Mahmoud A.A. YounisProblem statement: Most Nickel based Hastelloy C-276 is a difficult-to-machine material because of its low thermal diffusive property and high strength at high temperature. Machinability consideration of nickel based Hastelloy C-276 in turning operations has been carried out using ceramic inserts under dry conditions. Approach: This study described a modification approach applied to a fuzzy logic based model for predicting … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 3, Issue 1 · 31 Mar 2010 · 8,456 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Novel Algorithmic Cost Estimation Model Based on Soft Computing TechniqueIman Attarzadeh, Siew Hock OwProblem statement: Software development effort estimation is the process of predicting the most realistic use of effort required for developing software based on some parameters. It has always characterized one of the biggest challenges in Computer Science for the last decades. Because time and cost estimate at the early stages of the software development are the most difficult to obtain … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2010 · 7,927 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA New Approach of Adaptive Network-Based Fuzzy Inference System Modeling in Laser Processing-A Graphical User Interface (GUI) BasedSivarao, Peter Brevern, N. S.M. El-TayebProblem statement: The power of Artificial Intelligent (AI) becomes more authoritative when the system is programmed to cater the need of complex applications. MATLAB 2007B, integrating artificial intelligent system and Graphical User Interface (GUI) has reduced researchers' fear-to-model factor due to unfamiliarity and phobia to produce program codes.
