Key management only makes sure the communicating nodes possess the necessary keys, at the same time protecting the confidentiality, integrity and authenticity of the communicated data. Approach: Proposed a RSA-CRT methodology for authenticated broadcast … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 6 · 14 Jun 2011 · 6,416 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleMobile Element Scheduling for Efficient Data Collection in Wireless Sensor Networks: A SurveyK. Indra Gandhi, P. NarayanasamyProblem statement: Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) has become a very interesting field of research and has been deployed for various applications. The data sensed by the sensors need to be transmitted over to a Base Station (BS) where the data processing is done. Approach: The existing systems generally employ Multi-hop routing for data aggregation at the BS, where several nodes … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 1 · 15 Jan 2011 · 7,296 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleOptimal Power Multicast Problem in Wireless Mesh Networks by Using a Hybrid Particle Swarm OptimizationAllam Maalla, Chen Wei, Haitham J. TahaProblem statement: Most mobile nodes in a wireless ad hoc network are powered by energy limited batteries; the limited battery lifetime imposes a constraint on the network performance. Therefore, power consumption of network operations is critical and subject to optimization. Approach: A novel hybrid PSO was proposed for solving the minimum power multicast problem in wireless ad-hoc networks. The MPM … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2009 · 6,814 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleIntegrated Metric-Ad Hoc On-Demand Distance Vector: A Routing Protocol over Wireless Mesh NetworksMd. Arafatur Rahman, Farhat Anwar, Md. Saiful AzadProblem statement: Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) is an emerging technology for wireless environment. Since WMNs are permanent or semi-permanent network, an efficient and reliable path establishment is the core concern for such type of networks. Several performance metrics has been designed for WMNs such as Expected Transmission Count (ETX), Expected Transmission Time (ETT), interference Aware Routing Metric (iAWARE), Link Type … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2009 · 7,498 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleEnergy Aware Optimal Routing for Wireless Sensor NetworksS. Chandramathi, U. Anand, T. Ganesh et al.Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is a collection of autonomous devices with computational, sensing, and wireless communication capabilities. The sensor nodes are low cost, multi-functional devices that are densely deployed either inside the phenomenon or very close to it and are often powered by independent power sources. The lifetime of such sensor nodes show a strong dependence on lifetime of the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2007 · 6,649 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleFault Node Detection and Connectivity Restoration with Mobile Relay Node in Wireless Sensor NetworksM.P. Anuradha, A.M. Swetha, Manivannan DoraipandianIn Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), node failure is an imperative concern in a hostile environment. These node failures create disjoints in the network and leads to a network partitioning problem. It is important for the nodes to be alive and communicate with each other to check the network connectivity. Replacement of Mobile Relay Nodes (MRN) in the location of faulty … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 4 · 1 Apr 2020 · 7,921 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSIGNED GRAPH APPROACH IN ADAPTIVE TRANSMISSION POWER TO ENHANCE THE LIFETIME OF WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKSA. Babu Karuppiah, S. RajaramA Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) comprises a collection of sensor nodes networked for applications like surveillance, battlefield, monitoring of habitat. Nodes in a WSN are usually highly energy-constrained and expected to operate for long periods from limited on-board energy reserves. When a node transmits data to a destination node the data is overheard by the nodes that are in the … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 8 · 13 May 2014 · 6,733 accessesView PDFCite
