Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractENERGY EFFICIENT NETWORK SELECTION USING 802.16G BASED GSM TECHNOLOGYH. Anandakumar, K. UmamaheswariHandover is the mechanism that transfers information from one terminal to another as a user moves through the coverage area of a cellular system. Here the Network selection is the handover decision process between various network environments. This handover decision will be either mobile or network initiated. In 2G GSM handover decision method especially concentrates on Received frequency signals (RFS). … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 5 · 31 Dec 2013 · 7,076 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractMIGITATION OF INTER CELL INTERFERENCE AND FADING IN LTE SYSTEMSNagarajan Amutha Prabha, Gorla Vidhya Sagar, Venugopal ManikandanIn this study we investigate the compensation of outage area utmost. It introduces the self optimization of the neighbors of the outage cells with antenna tilts for the generation of the most suitable configuration settings for the network with base stations/eNodeBs positional information. All the neighbors of the outage cell increase their coverage area and thus contribute to cell outage … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 3 · 28 Nov 2013 · 6,736 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractOther Post Employment Benefits-The Other Elephant in the RoomCatherine PlanteThe governments of the fifty states of the United States have made promises to past and present employees regarding retirement benefits-predominately pensions and healthcare coverage. The issues surrounding the pension obligations made to these employees have been well examined but the obligations due to promises of healthcare coverage have not received as much attention. There is great variance among the … …American Journal of Economics and Business Administration, Vol. 4, Issue 2 · 28 Apr 2012 · 7,473 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA New Hybrid Approach for Heterogeneous Radio Access Technology SelectionJ. Preethi, S. PalaniswamiProblem statement: The Next generation wireless networks are heterogeneous in nature where different Radio Access Technologies (RAT) coexists in the same coverage area. The user terminal should be able to pick the best access technology such as Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), Wireless Wide Area Networks (WWAN), the Universal Mobile Telecommunication Systems (UMTS) and the Global System for Mobile Telecommunication … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 5 · 2 Mar 2012 · 7,037 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Tool for Generation and Minimization of Test Suite by Mutant Gene AlgorithmSelvakumar Subramanian, Ramaraj NatarajanProblem statement: This study proposes a new idea for generation of minimized test suite in the test case generation using the mutant gene algorithm, which not only identifies the best test cases but also reduces the number of test cases generated, selects test cases optimally there improving the performance in testing of software. Test cases are generated by using branch … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 10 · 9 Aug 2011 · 7,164 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractMobility Management for Seamless Information Flow in a Heterogeneous NetworksAdiline Macriga, AnandhakumarProblem statement: In the heterogeneous networks, generally the entire networks operating on the Radio Frequencies under wireless mode available for communication are brought under a single head based on their common operating procedures and functions. As a common mode the basic functions of the networks are requesting, tracing, sending, acknowledging, authenticating, authorizing, receiving, updating, forwarding, controlling, registering, managing. As the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 2 · 25 Feb 2011 · 6,889 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractMultimodal Integration (Image and Text) Using Ontology AlignmentAhmad Adel Abu Shareha, Mandava Rajeswari, Dhanesh RamachandramProblem statement: This study proposed multimodal integration method at the concept level to investigate information from multimodalities. The multimodal data was represented as two separate lists of concepts which were extracted from images and its related text. The concepts extracted from image analysis are often ambiguous, while the concepts extracted from text processing could be sense-ambiguous. The major problems that … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 6 · 30 Jun 2009 · 6,629 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractCorpus Design for Malay Corpus-based Speech Synthesis SystemTian-Swee Tan, Sh-HussainProblem statement: Speech corpus is one of the major components in corpus-based synthesis. The quality and coverage in speech corpus will affect the quality of synthesis speech sound. Approach: This study proposes a corpus design for Malay corpus-based speech synthesis system. This includes the study of design criteria in corpus-based speech synthesis, Malay corpus based database design and the concatenation … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 6, Issue 4 · 30 Apr 2009 · 8,302 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractFuzzy Reliability and Fuzzy Availability of the Serial Process in Butter-Oil Processing PlantKuldeep Kumar, Jai Singh, Pawan KumarProblem statement: The purpose of this study was to compute fuzzy reliability and fuzzy availability of the serial process in butter-oil processing plant for various choices of failure and repair rates of sub-system. This plant consists of eight sub-systems out of which two are supported by stand-by units with perfect switch over devices and considered that these two sub-systems never … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 5, Issue 1 · 31 Mar 2009 · 8,014 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Complete Automation of Unit Testing for JavaScript ProgramsM. AlshraidehProblem statement: Program testing is expensive and labor intensive, often consuming more than half of the total development costs, and yet it is frequently not done well and the results are not always satisfactory. The objective of this paper is to present an automatic test data generation tool that aims to completely automate unit testing of JavaScript functions. The methodology: … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2008 · 7,289 accessesView PDFCite
