Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSoftware Defined Radio Implementation of a QPSK Modulator/Demodulator in an Extensive Hardware Platform Based on FPGAs Xilinx ZYNQSérgio Bimbi Junior, Vitor Chaves de Oliveira, Gunnar Bedicks JuniorSoftware Defined Radio (SDR) technology enables wireless devices deployment with support to multiple interfaces in modulation formats and it has gained importance due to the current wireless standards proliferation. In order to activate these functionalities it is necessary to apply SDR inside a reconfigurable hardware such as the Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). In this study, design procedures developments are … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 11, Issue 4 · 2 Jun 2015 · 8,818 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractANALYSIS AND SOLUTION FOR MULTI-BAND ORTHOGONAL FREQUENCY-DIVISION MULTIPLEXING ULTRA WIDE BAND SYSTEM IN REAL ENVIRONMENT FOR VEHICLE TO INFRASTRUCTURE APPLICATIONSanaa Kabil, Raja Elassali, Fouzia Elbahhar et al.Many researches in the world deal with driving on the road to ensure optimum safety. In this context, several telecommunication technologies are often used to connect the vehicles via continuous wireless communication with the infrastructure, exchange data and information relevant to increase overall road safety and enable cooperative traffic management. These systems are not reliable for all situations and the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 10 · 5 Sep 2013 · 7,012 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractCache Management for Concurrent Transaction Execution in Mobile Wireless EnvironmentJ.C. Miraclin Joyce Pamila, K. ThanushkodiProblem statement: Improvement in mobile communication technology and increased capability of mobile devices has made transaction processing possible with mobile devices. Transactions access services provided by the data server connected to the packet data network. Direct data access may overload the network and server. Data items are cached to improve data availability. The cache should be managed and maintained effectively … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 3 · 7 Mar 2011 · 6,812 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Disruption-Tolerant Model for Building a Mobile Application Using Web ServiceMaryati Mohd. Yusof, Mansor Omar, Zarina ShukurProblem statement: The emerging technology in broadband telecommunication and mobile devices has increased the use of mobile applications. However, the use of mobile application is affected with low bandwidth or disrupted broadband telecommunication due to building blockage or out of coverage area. Approach: We proposed a Disruption-Tolerant Mobile Application Model (DTMA) that enables remote data access and overcomes constraint due … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 12 · 1 Dec 2010 · 7,224 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Fault Tolerant Mobile Agent Information Retrieval SystemR. Punithavathi, K. DuraiswamyProblem statement: Most of the information retrieval systems used only client-server architectures. The client-server model though powerful, had some limitations. In mobile computing environment which has both wired network and wireless networks with limited communication capabilities, the performance of the system was very low. Approach: Mobile agents are considered a suitable technology to develop applications such as information retrieval system … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 5 · 31 May 2010 · 7,205 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractIntroducing Song Form Intelligence into Streaming AudioKevin CurranWhen receiving streaming media over a low bandwidth wireless connection, users can experience not only packet losses but also extended service interruptions. These dropouts can last for as long as 15 sec. During this time no packets are received and if not addressed, these dropped packets cause unacceptable interruptions in the audio stream. A long dropout of this kind may … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2005 · 6,575 accessesView PDFCite
