Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractBluetooth Wireless Monitoring, Managing and Control for Inter Vehicle in Vehicular Ad-Hoc NetworksHelia Mamdouhi, Sabira Khatun, Javad ZarrinProblem statement: The car users expect more and more accessories available in their cars, but the accessories available needed manage by driver manually and not properly manage by smart system. All these accessories are able to control by user manually using different and standalone controllers. Besides, the controller itself uses RF technology which is not existed in mobile devices. So … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2009 · 8,982 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractWeb-based "Questions-Bank" System to Improve E-Learning Education in Qatari SchoolHosam F. El-Sofany, Noor Al-Jaidah, Shaima Ibrahim, Salha Al-kubaisiProblem statement: This study described the analysis, design and implementation of the Questions-Bank system that allows the students of primary, preparatory and secondary schools to take web-based quizzes and exams, to download course reviews and previous exams. "Questions-Bank", means that each question has a weight and area of knowledge deals with it. The system facilitated generation of automatic, balanced and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 2 · 28 Feb 2009 · 7,830 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractLow-Noise High-Accuracy TOF Laser Range FinderShahram Mohammad Nejad, Saeed OlyaeeThis paper presents a new low-noise high-accuracy laser range finder based on the Time-Of-Flight (TOF) method. A Q-switched Nd:YAG laser at 1064 nm as a source and a SLIK avalanche photodiode as a detector are used. The optical section of the system including ZnS/MgF2 optical filter, designed by C++ and Zemax software, has been successfully implemented and tested. The quality … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 7 · 31 Jul 2008 · 7,852 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractHardware Implementation of Higher Throughput Anti-Collision Algorithm for Radio Frequency Identification SystemJahariah Sampe, Masuri OthmanThis paper presents a proposed hardware implementation of Higher Throughput Anti-Collision Algorithm (HTACA) for Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) system. Our proposed HTACA combines a pipeline and a deterministic anti-collision technique in order to enhance its performances. These downlink and uplink operations are concurrently executed during the identification process. The downlink operation is purposely pre-selected a group of tags base on … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 1, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2008 · 7,447 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractTesting Virtual Reconfigurable Circuit Designed For A Fault Tolerant SystemP. Nirmal Kumar, S. Anandhi, M. Elancheralathan, J. Raja Paul PerinbamThis research describes about the testing of virtual reconfigurable circuit (VRC) designed and implemented for a fault tolerant system which averages the (three) sensor inputs. The circuits that are to be tested are those which are successfully evolved in this system under different situations such as (i) all the three sensors are faultless (ii) one of the input sensor fails … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2007 · 6,857 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractIF-THEN Adder Application in Online DALUT ImplementationMohamed Al Mahdi Eshtawie, Masuri OthmanThis paper presents the application of a proposed if-then rule based adder in implementing distributed arithmetic online lookup table (DALUT). The online DALUT development and implementation is a continuation of our previous work where we proposed this idea and use it in designing finite impulse (FIR) filter. In our LUT architecture we have been able to overcome the major disadvantage … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 9 · 30 Sep 2007 · 6,940 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractOptimum Conditions for Measuring Dehydrogenase Activity of Aspergillus niger using TTCA. E. Ghaly, N. S. MahmoudThe suitability of the triphenyl tetrazolium chloride (TTC) for dehydrogenase activity measurement of the vegetative cells of the fungal species Aspergillus niger was investigated. The triphenyl formazan (TF) yield increased with the increases in TTC concentration, pH, temperature and incubation time within the studied ranges. The effects of individual parameters, as well as the combined effects, on the TF yield … …American Journal of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Vol. 2, Issue 4 · 31 Dec 2006 · 9,008 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Intelligent Multilingual Mouse Gesture Recognition SystemNidal F. Shilbayeh, Mahmoud Z. IskandaraniA comprehensive mouse gesture system is designed and tested successfully. The system is based on UNIPEN algorithm in terms of mouse movements and applies its geometrical principles such as angles and transposition steps. The system incorporates Neural Networks as its learning and recognition engine. The designed algorithm is not only capable of translating discrete gesture moves, but also continuous sentences … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 3 · 30 Sep 2005 · 7,131 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractHardware Design of Wireless Physical Token Ring System for Mobile and Cell CommunicationNidal F. Shilbayeh, Mahmoud Z. IskandaraniA wireless network system based on an infrared and Laser scanning Physical Token Ring architecture (W-PTRS) was designed, built and tested successfully. The network provides a different way of utilizing the concept of a token ring network but with a higher efficiency related to the speed of data transfer and the ability to parallel process client-server requests leading to a … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 1, Issue 3 · 30 Sep 2004 · 6,792 accessesView PDFCite
