Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Fast Pattern Matching Algorithm with Two Sliding Windows (TSW)Amjad Hudaib, Rola Al-Khalid, Dima Suleiman et al.In this research, we propose a fast pattern matching algorithm: The Two Sliding Windows (TSW) algorithm. The algorithm makes use of two sliding windows, each window has a size that is equal to the pattern length. Both windows slide in parallel over the text until the first occurrence of the pattern is found or until both windows reach the middle … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 5 · 31 May 2008 · 7,503 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDesign of a Merged DSP Microcontroller for Embedded Systems using Discrete Orthogonal TransformA. K. Rath, P. K. MeherIn this paper we have proposed the design of a DSP microcontroller where the processor load is significantly reduced by relegating the math-intensive DSP algorithm to dedicated transform computing modules. It is shown that the use of such transform modules will facilitate scalability, reusability and flexibility for implementation of wide varieties of DSP functionalities. Moreover, it would be possible to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 2, Issue 5 · 31 Aug 2006 · 6,921 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordPerformance Analysis of Multi Clustered Parallel Genetic Algorithm with Gray ValueP. Vishnu Raja, V. Murali BhaskaranProblem statement: Encoding is one of the major factors in genetic algorithms, for a complex problem the optimality for the problem is determined. The encoding mechanism is the initial step which forms the chromosome to form the best fit individuals in the entire population. The proposed method tries to encode the initial population by the binary encoding and by gray … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 8 · 28 Jun 2012 · 7,166 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordPerformance Comparison of Three-Phase Shunt Active Power Filter AlgorithmsMoleykutty George, Kartik Prasad BasuThe usage of parallel converters is ever increasing. However, the voltage and current harmonics, zero-sequence and negative- sequence components of voltage and current and reactive power present in parallel converters give an alarming signal to power system and power electronic engineers. This research discusses performance of three-phase shunt active power filter (APF) system using three different control techniques namely synchronous … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 5, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2008 · 6,814 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordExploring Strategies for Parallel Computing of RS Data Assimilation with SWAP-GAShamim Akhter, Kiyoshi Honda, Yann Chemin, Putchong UthayopasAn agro-hydrological simulation model is useful for agriculture monitoring. One issue in running such model is parameter identification, especially when the target area is large such as provincial or country level. Remote Sensing (RS) provides us with useful information over large area. RS cannot observe input parameters of agro-hydrological models directly. However, a method to estimate input parameters of such … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 1 · 31 Jan 2007 · 7,214 accessesView PDF Cite
