Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleAdaptive and Neural Network Based Control of Pitch of Unmanned Aerial VehiclesMackenzie T. Matthews, Sun YiThe objective is to develop a new control strategy for quadrotor types of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAVs) that assist in closing the existing research gaps between the undesired uncertainties and current control systems. This research investigates a system modeling and the effectiveness of error elimination through adaptation in the change of the plant/system’s output. The UAV is controlled via Wi-Fi … …Journal of Mechatronics and Robotics, Vol. 3, Issue 1 · 18 Nov 2019 · 6,491 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleEfficient Music Auto-Tagging with Convolutional Neural NetworksShaleen Bengani, S. Vadivel, J. Angel Arul JothiTechnology is revolutionizing the way in which music is distributed and consumed. As a result, millions of songs are instantly available to millions of people, on the Internet. This has created the need for novel music search and discovery services. Music is often searched using descriptive keywords, or tags, based on the content of the song. Hence, one very important … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 8 · 27 Aug 2019 · 7,847 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleFuture Emoji Entry Prediction Using Neural NetworksHelen Wilfred Raj, Santhi BalachandranIn today’s world, textual data has made momentous progress in social media. The rise of digital communication via text has paved the way to emoji, a pictographically represented way of expressing emotions. In digital communication, Emoji gives a visual appeal to the text, which improves communication and new vistas of exchange and creativity. While emoji entry prediction based on text … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 16, Issue 2 · 10 Aug 2019 · 9,145 accessesView PDFCite
Review ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleDeep Learning Approach for Human Action Recognition Using Gated Recurrent Unit Neural Networks and Motion AnalysisNeziha Jaouedi, Noureddine Boujnah, Med Salim BouhlelHuman action recognition is a computer vision task. The evaluation of action recognition algorithms relies on the proper extraction and learning of the data. The success of the deep learning and especially learning layer by layer led to many imposing results in several contexts that include neural network. Here the Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN) with hidden unit has demonstrated advanced … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 7 · 29 Jul 2019 · 8,023 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleComparative Analysis of the Artificial Neural Networks Options Pricing Model Under Constant and Time-Variant VolatilitiesHanningtone Meshack Simiyu, Anthony Gichuhi Waititu, Jane Aduda AkinyiOption pricing using artificial neural networks (ANN) model while relaxing the assumption of constant volatility still remains a challenge. The conventional practice for pure ANN models has been to either model volatility using the very ANN model and have the model output fed as an input to the ANN option pricing model, or to make allowances for a large number … …Journal of Mathematics and Statistics, Vol. 15, Issue 1 · 20 Jul 2019 · 7,015 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleApplying Neural Network-Based Approach to Sickle Cell Disease-Related Pain ClassificationZacchaeus Omogbadegun, Israel Ogundele, Olufunke OladipupoSickle Cell Disease (SCD), an inherited Red Blood Cell (RBC) disorder, is characterized by anaemia, end-organ damage, unpredictable episodes of pain and early mortality. SCD affects 25% of people living in Central and West Africa causing life threatening “silent” strokes and lifelong damage. Nigeria accounts for 50% of SCD births worldwide (estimated 150,000 of 300,000 babies born with Symptomatic Sickle … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 6 · 28 Jun 2019 · 7,683 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titlePrice Prediction for Agricultural Commodities in Bandung Regency Based on Functional Link Neural Network and Artifical Bee Colony AlgorithmsFhira Nhita, Deni Saepudin, Andini Paramita et al.In Indonesia, fluctuating agricultural commodity prices often impacts society negatively. In this study, farmers in Bandung Regency, West Java, Indonesia, were chosen as a case study. Fluctuating agricultural commodity prices can lead to farmers suffering losses due to the sale price being smaller or equal to the cost of planting. Price is influenced by crop productivity, while planting productivity is … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 15, Issue 10 · 6 Mar 2019 · 7,910 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleChilled Water VAV System Optimization and Modeling Using Artificial Neural NetworksRand Talib, Nabil Nassif, Maya Arida, Taher Abu-LebdehIn 2016, It was estimated that about 40% of total U.S. energy consumption was consumed by the residential and commercial sectors. According to EIA, in 2009, the energy consumption in U.S. homes was 48% which was down from 58% in 1993 (Residential Energy Consumption Survey (RECS).
