Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractTHE RATIONAL BEHIND THE SERVAL NETWORK LAYER FOR RESILIENT COMMUNICATIONSPaul Gardner-Stephen, Andrew Bettison, Romana Challans, Jeremy LakemanThe Internet Protocol is the dominant network protocol used in public networks today and has proven to be highly effective for wired networks and wireless networks alike, provided network address allocation can be coordinated. Mesh networks consisting of highly mobile devices present new challenges, especially when the assumption of coordination does not apply. One situation where coordination is not readily … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 12 · 25 Nov 2013 · 7,708 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF WORMHOLE SECURITY APPROACHES FOR AD-HOC NETWORKSIsmail Hababeh, Issa Khalil, Abdallah Khreishah, Samir BatainehAd-hoc networks are talented but are exposed to the risk of wormhole attacks. However, a wormhole attack can be mounted easily and forms stern menaces in networks, particularly against various ad-hoc wireless networks. The Wormhole attack distorts the network topology and decrease the network systems performance. Therefore, identifying the possibility of wormhole attacks and recognizing techniques to defend them are … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 12 · 25 Nov 2013 · 6,622 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSTUDY AND ANALYSIS OF ROUTING PROTOCOLS IN MOBILE AD-HOC NETWORKUma Mani, Ramasamy Chandrasekaran, V. R. Sarma DhulipalaMobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs) is a network without a fixed Infrastructure. In wireless networks users expect to get access to the network security and to exchange information anytime and anywhere. The ad hoc wireless network consists of mobile networks which creates architecture for communication without the help of traditional fixed-position routers. Establishing strong routes and providing security are the main … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 11 · 30 Sep 2013 · 6,711 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractQUALITY OF SERVICE AWARE OF CROSS LAYER APPROACH ON ADAPTIVE GATEWAY DISCOVERY SCHEME FOR MOBILE AD HOC NETWORKSK. Palani, P. RamamoorthyThe Quality of Service (QoS) providing in Mobile Ad hoc networks has been obtaining increasing importance, specifically Consider the domains of application for networks in disaster environments and defense ventures, QoS is performing level of a service recommended by the network to the consumer. Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANET) are necessary because of wireless infrastructure network is complicated to setup … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 10 · 5 Sep 2013 · 6,212 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractINTELLISENSE CLUSTER MANAGEMENT AND ENERGY EFFICIENT ROUTING IN MOBILE AD HOC NETWORKSSangeetha Kuppusamy, Natarajan MathaiyanMobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is a collection of distributed nodes which communicate using multi-hop wireless links with frequent node mobility. The aim for ad hoc networks is to accommodate light-weight weight, battery supercharged transportable devices. Due to the restricted power, we've to vogue economical ways in which to use the current power. For a networking device, vital power is … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 9 · 6 Aug 2013 · 6,371 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractLink Stability with Energy Aware Ad Hoc on Demand Multipath Routing Protocol in Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksSenthil Murugan Tamilarasan, Kannan EswariahMobile Ad Hoc Network is one of the wireless network in which mobile nodes are communicate with each other and have no infrastructure because no access point. The MANET protocols can be classified as proactive and reactive routing protocol. The proactive routing protocols, all nodes which participated in network have routing table. This table updated periodically and is used to … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 8 · 24 Jul 2013 · 6,509 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractProtocols for Secure Routing and Transmission in Mobile Ad Hoc Network: A ReviewMohamed Othman, Salwa Aqeel Mahdi, Hamidah Ibrahim et al.Mobile ad hoc network security is a new area for research that it has been faced many difficulties to implement. These difficulties are due to the absence of central authentication server, the dynamically movement of the nodes (mobility), limited capacity of the wireless medium and the various types of vulnerability attacks. All these factor combine to make mobile ad hoc … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 5 · 25 May 2013 · 8,211 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSecured Routing with Authentication in Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksT. Guru Baskar, D. ManimegalaiA Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a collection of wireless mobile nodes that dynamically forms a temporary network without any fixed infrastructure. Each node participates in the ad hoc routing protocol that helps it to discover multi-hop paths through the network to any node. Security challenges have become a primary concern for these networks due to their characteristics such … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 4 · 9 May 2013 · 6,070 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Hybrid Approach for Node Co-Operation Based Clustering in Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksC. Sathiyakumar, K. DuraiswamyA Mobile Ad-Hoc Network (MANET) is termed as a set of wireless nodes which could be built with infrastructure less environment where network services are afforded by the nodes themselves. In such a situation, if a node refuses to co-operate with other nodes, then it will lead to a considerable diminution in throughput and the network operation decreases to low … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 9, Issue 2 · 26 Mar 2013 · 6,967 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractRouting Based Data Security in Mobile Ad Hoc Network Using Group Key ManagementE. Mohanraj, K. DuraiswamyProblem statement: A mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) is a self-organizing system of mobile devices followed an infrastructure less framework associated by wireless links. In MANET, there is a possibility of packet data to get lost or hacked by an attacker. So, to improve a secure communication over MANET from attackers, several techniques have been developed. The previous work developed to … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 10 · 29 Aug 2012 · 6,700 accessesView PDFCite
