BalasubramanieProblem statement: In the last few years, the evolution of the mobile networks leads to the query processing in mobile computing an impressive research area. The mobile computing technology needs to offer more and different innovative services as the number of users of the mobiles were increasing. In this regard, this study proposed a new algorithm which increased the performance … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 5 · 7 May 2011 · 6,758 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleAn Analysis of Power Aware Congestion Control Multipath Multicast Protocol for Mobile Ad hoc NetworkDuraiswamy Karuppaswamy, Vijayaragavan ShanmugamProblem statement: In MANETs, wireless link transmission errors, mobility and congestion are major causes for packet loss. Mobility may cause packet loss in different ways. Whereas congestion in a network occurs, whenever the demands exceed the maximum capacity of a communication link especially when multiple hosts try to access a shared media simultaneously. Approach: In this study, we proposed a … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 12 · 2 Nov 2010 · 7,038 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA Performance Study of Reactive Multicast Routing Protocols in Virtual Class Room Using Mobile Ad Hoc NetworkS. Vijayaragavan, K. Duraiswamy, B. Kalaavathi, S. MadhaviProblem statement: A great deal of excitement has recently propelled Mobile Learning to the forefront of educational technology. The exponential growth of mobile technology in the recent years, increase in the availability of high-bandwidth network, advances in wireless technologies and popularity of handheld devices, have opened up new accessibility opportunities for education. Approach: Virtual class room using MANET had been … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2009 · 6,875 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titlePerformance Evaluation of Stable Weight-Based on Demand Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworkOon Chong Hsi, Azizol AbdullahProblem statement: A MANET is an autonomous collection of mobile users that communicate over relatively bandwidth constrained wireless links. Since the nodes are mobile, the network topology may change rapidly and unpredictably over time. Approach: A Stable Weight-based On demand Routing Protocol (SWORP) that uses the weight-based route strategy to select a stable route was created by Wang. But SWORP … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 10 · 31 Oct 2009 · 6,928 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleAdding Quality of Service Extensions to the Enhanced Associativity Based Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET)Ayman Mansour Murad, Bassam Al-MahadeenThis paper described how to discover routes that can satisfy QoS service requirements by using extensions to the Enhanced Associativity Bases Routing Protocol (EABR). These extensions were added to the messages used during route discovery. These extensions specify the service requirements, which must be met by nodes re-broadcasting a route request or returning a route reply for a destination. The … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 4, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2007 · 6,708 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleSimulation of the Enhanced Associativity Based Routing Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET)Ayman Mansour Murad, Bassam Al-MahadeenThe simulations results showed that the overall EABR enhancement, when compared with ABR, in terms of communication overhead was ranging from 36% to 56%. While the overall EABR enhancement in terms of number of operation required to reconstructing the route was ranging from 36% to 55%. These enhancements were contributed to the novel way in route reconstructing introduced by EABR. …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 6 · 30 Jun 2007 · 6,957 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleAdaptive Reliable Efficient Multicasting Protocol for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksK. Baskaran, A. Ebenezer Jeyakumar, V. Sumathy, J. Lakshmana PerumalThe Adaptive Reliable Multicast Protocol (ARM) with intermediate node support is introduced to guarantee message delivery to all multicast receivers in mobile ad hoc environment. ARM distributes multicast message cache and retransmission tasks among intermediate nodes to offer a scalable reliable multicasting. Due to limited memory and node’s mobility, ARM defines intermediate node as all nodes which overhear multicast messages. … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 1, Issue 3 · 30 Sep 2005 · 6,818 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleANFIS Aided AODV Routing Protocolfor Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksVivek Sharma, Bashir Alam, M. N. DojaCommunication between mobile nodes is the key purpose of Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs). However, increase in the traffic leads to multiple challenging issues like congestion among nodes, consumption of more bandwidth, high energy requirement and low efficiency output. A powerful solution to these issues of the MANET is to use intelligent routing protocols. The Adaptive Neural Fuzzy Inference System … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 13, Issue 10 · 12 Oct 2017 · 7,429 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA Novel Proactive Routing Method for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworksBambrik Ilyas, Didi FedouaIn recent years, the Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) became more popular due to their multiple advantages such as the low setup cost, auto-configuration and auto-healing features. This kind of network is distinguished by its dynamic and distributed nature since it does not contain any form of centralized infrastructure. These characteristics have led to the emergence of new routing protocols … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 12, Issue 6 · 23 Jul 2015 · 6,376 accessesView PDFCite
