Prasad, A. ElchouemiRealtime object security and vehicle tracking have not been successfully implemented in commercial vehicles due to limitations in processing large amount of data and hardware capabilities. This paper aimed to improve the object security, processing power and data storage in a distributed environment. The proposed system (HLAiUE) consists of a three-layer architecture, first layer is used to collect data, second … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 15, Issue 8 · 17 Oct 2018 · 7,520 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDevelopment of a Hybrid Power Module for Mobile Wireless Sensor Networks: Towards a Livestock Tracking and Identification SystemMolaletsa Namoshe, Oduetse Matsebe, Obakeng MaphaneSmart technology and Internet of Things (IoT) applications have gained popularity in the development of agricultural systems with Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) increasingly becoming the building blocks for IoT applications. However, WSNs have a limited power supply. As a result, these systems have a short lifespan, limited memory and low computing power. This paper describes the development of a hybrid … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 10, Issue 4 · 23 Oct 2017 · 7,764 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleSynthesis of Optimal Incoherent Subcarrier Tracking of BOC(1,1) Navigation SignalsAlexandr Ivanovich PerovNavigation receivers of global positioning systems that are operated in complex electromagnetic environment must have an increased noise immunity characteristic. One way of such noise immunity rising is to use incoherent operating mode of navigation receiver. There are known processing algorithms for navigation signals with Binary Phase Shift Keying (BPSK) modulation. But in the near-term outlook Global Navigation Satellite Systems … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 13, Issue 9 · 26 Sep 2016 · 7,166 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleDesign Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) on Photovoltaic Panels using Fuzzy Logic MethodAhmad Faizal, Sutoyo, Mulyono et al.Solar energy is a clean energy, renewable, and available for the long term. The tool used to convert the energy generated from the intensity of sunlight into electricity is photovoltaic panels. However, due to the high cost and low efficiency, the use of the energy is still kind small compared to other types of energy sources. Thus, the need for … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 4 · 10 Aug 2016 · 8,498 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleTRACKING THE POSITION OF MULTIPLE HUMAN GESTURES USING CONTOUR MAPPING ALGORITHMT. S. Arulananth, T. Jayasingh, S. RaviThis study relates to a method for determining the position variation (for example a moving object, facial gesture tracking) using markers. The movement is determined based on the periodic frames captured using a camera. The experimental results show that this algorithm can accurately segment human movements from complex background and can greatly reduce the computational workload with less storage memory, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 10 · 22 May 2014 · 6,503 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleAn Appearance based Method for Eye Gaze TrackingS. V. Sheela, P. A. VijayaProblem statement: Gaze estimation systems compute the direction of eye gaze based on observed eye movements. The need for gaze-contingent applications is the basis of the current research work. The gaze pointing systems is a substitute for the existing input devices. Approach: The gaze tracking methods are either feature based or appearance based. In this study, an appearance based approach … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 8 · 15 Jul 2011 · 6,580 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessEvery word in the titleThe Solar Tracking System by Using Digital Solar Position SensorSingthong PattanasethanonProblem statement: An optimal control on two axes and design for solar tracker which called altitude and azimuth is challenge. Approach: The phototransistor with the shade that blocks the screen was employed as a detector of solar beam radiation. The height of the screen determined the sensitivity operation or period of tracking in this solar tracker. The phototransistor is particularly … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 3, Issue 4 · 5 Nov 2010 · 10,171 accessesView PDFCite
