Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractPerformance Analysis of Joint Degree Distribution (JDD) in Luby Transform CodesI. Joe Louis Paul, S. Radha, J. RajaLuby Transform (LT) codes, the first realization of rateless codes are widely used in wireless communication mainly for its adaptability to varying channel conditions and its capacity approaching performance. In spite of the above advantages and its simplicity in implementation, LT codes suffer from a bottle neck of premature termination due to the poor design of degree distribution. In this … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 11, Issue 1 · 13 Aug 2014 · 7,258 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractIn Vitro and In Vivo Anticancer Activity of Bacoside A from Whole Plant of Bacopa Monnieiri (Linn)N. S. Prakash, R. Sundaram, S. K. MitraProblem statement: Natural products have long been a fertile source of cure for cancer, which is projected to become the major cause of death in this century. Major classes of anticancer compounds include alkaloids, terpenoids, flavonoids and lignans. We have chosen terpenoids (bacosides) because terpenoids like taxol are currently being used in cancer chemotherapy. The anticancer activity of Bacoside A … …American Journal of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Vol. 6, Issue 1 · 7 Jun 2011 · 9,663 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSecurity Challenges in Multicast Communication for Mobile Ad Hoc NetworkS. Gunasekaran, K. DuraiswamyProblem statement: Multicasting communication network accepted a single message from an application and delivered copies of the message to multiple recipients at different locations. Recently, there has been an explosion of research literature on multicast communication environment. The objective of this study were to contribute the complexity of supporting current multicast applications, (i) the lack of reliable multicast transport mechanisms … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 5 · 31 May 2010 · 6,125 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAdaptive Data Transmission in Multimedia NetworksManimegalai Parry, N. GangatharanThis study suggests a method where the packet size of each source is adjusted according to the network bandwidth. A controller is used to trace the data transmission rate at the router. An algorithm is developed and coded in Tool Command Language. Simulation is performed on NS-2 using 4 different test cases and the results show that the proposed algorithm … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 2, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2005 · 7,246 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordImpact of the Use of Object Request Broker Middleware for Inter-Component Communications in C6416 Digital Signal Processor Based Software Communications Architecture Radio SystemsWael A. Murtada, Mohamed M. Zahra, Magdi Fikri et al.Problem statement: This study presents an in-depth analysis of the performance of Software Communications Architecture (SCA) component-based waveform applications in terms of inter-component communications. The main limitation with SCA, in the context of embedded systems, is the additional cost introduced by the use of Object Request Broker (ORB) middleware. The ORB middleware handles the interaction between components and objects in … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 6 · 3 Apr 2012 · 7,239 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordBehaviour Based Worm Detection and Signature AutomationMohammed Anbar, Selvakumar Manickam, Al-Samarraie Hosam et al.Problem statement: A worm is a malicious piece of code that self-propagates, often via network connections, to exploit security flaws in computers connected through the network. In general, worms do not need any human intervention to propagate and are considered a real threat to network assets and the properties of organizations. An Intrusion Detection Systems (IDSs) are employed to detect … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 11 · 6 Sep 2011 · 6,895 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordSecure Antnet Routing Algorithm for Scalable Adhoc Networks Using Elliptic Curve CryptographyV. Vijayalakshmi, T. G. PalaniveluThe secure end-to-end route discovery in the decentralized Mobile Adhoc Networks (MANETs) should have to meet the requirements of prevention of DoS attacks on data traffic, should be adaptive and fault tolerant and must have high speed, low energy overhead and scalability for future development. In this research a secure routing using antnet mechanism and mutual authentication using Elliptic Curve … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 12 · 31 Dec 2007 · 6,951 accessesView PDF Cite
