Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractImplementation of an Improved Data Encryption Algorithm in a Web Based Learning SystemAdeolu Olabode Afolabi, Rotimi AdagunodoProblem statement: This study proffered solution to some identified data insecurity problems in software development by the use of Web-based learning system as a test bed and development of an hybrid crypto-biometric security system. Approach: A variant of data encryption algorithm tagged (XOR-RSA algorithm) is developed in order to encrypt the messages being sent between the learner and the facilitator. … …Physics International, Vol. 2, Issue 1 · 23 Jan 2012 · 7,768 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractWideband E-Shaped Microstrip Antenna for Wireless Sensor NetworksG. Elangovan, J. Rajapaul PerinbamProblem statement: Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) is currently receiving significant attention due to their unlimited potential. It is still very early in the lifetime of such systems and many research challenges exist, out of which one of the challenges is sensor processing and fusion under limited capacities, the most important component in sensor is its TX/RX antenna. Approach: For high-speed … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 1 · 21 Nov 2011 · 7,106 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractExperimental Evaluation of Medium Access Schemes in 802.11 Wireless NetworksG. Singh, B. S. SohiProblem statement: Deployment of real time services over 802.11 wireless networks requires quality of service (QoS) differentiation mechanisms for different traffic types. This required investigations into the performance of the Medium access (MAC) schemes like Distributed Coordinated Function (DCF) and Enhanced DCF with respect to the stringent QoS requirements imposed by the real time services. Motivation for this research was … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 11 · 30 Nov 2008 · 7,136 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordAn Experimental Study on the Embedded Software Development Approach Using TI-RTOSAloysio Augusto Rabello de Carvalho, Luiz Eduardo Galvão MartinsEmbedded systems have experienced significant growth in recent years. These systems, which power a wide range of devices from smart appliances to industrial machinery, have become integral to our daily lives and industries. However, this rapid expansion introduces new challenges for developers. A critical decision involves whether to employ a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) or to forgo it, depending on … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 21, Issue 6 · 17 Jul 2025 · 3,068 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordTRUST BASED AUTOMATIC QUERY FORMULATION SEARCH ON EXPERT AND KNOWLEDGE USERS SYSTEMSK. Sridharan, M. ChitraDue to enhance in complexity of services, there is a necessity for dynamic interaction models. For a service-oriented system to work properly, we need a context-sensitive trust based search. Automatic information transfer is also deficient when unexpected query is given. However, it shows that search engines are vulnerable in answering intellectual queries and shows an unreliable outcome. The user cannot … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 10, Issue 7 · 18 Feb 2014 · 6,319 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordAlternative Monitoring Approach for IPTVAngel Ignatov, Hristo Toshkov Hristov, Jan Latal et al.IPTV emerged in the late 1990s as a solution for delivering Video on Demand (VoD) and live television over managed networks. Its widespread adoption accelerated after the expansion of broadband internet and the introduction of web technologies such as HTML5 and adaptive streaming protocols (MPEG-DASH and HLS), which enabled television content to be streamed directly through web browsers. Across Europe, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 22, Issue 11 · 8 Oct 2026 · 430 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessAll words, across the recordMODULATION IDENTIFICATION AND HAMMING ENCODING TECHNIQUE IMPLEMENTED IN SOFTWARE-DEFINED RADIOS. Ravi, M. Anand, S. Leones Sherwin Vimalraj, V. KannanIn SDR, it is advantageous if the data is transmitted using the best among the various modulation techniques with respect to SNR. The receiver has the ability to automatically identify the modulation technique and demodulate it. This process involves a novel method where a pilot sequence helps in identifying the type of modulation at the receiver. Ten modulation techniques are … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 11, Issue 4 · 8 Feb 2014 · 6,888 accessesView PDFCite
