Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA Multipath Energy Efficient Congestion Control Scheme for Wireless Sensor NetworkB. Chellaprabha, S. Chenthur PandianProblem statement: In most of the existing works either detection of congestion or scheme for congestion control in wireless sensor networks are presented. A very few works have been done, taken in to account of both congestion detection and congestion control. In most of the congestion detection works they have not achieved accuracy in detecting congestion and have resulted with … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 6 · 20 Mar 2012 · 6,857 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleFuzzy Based Secure Data Aggregation Technique in Wireless Sensor NetworksD. HevinRajesh, B. ParamasivanProblem statement: Secure data aggregation is a challenging task in wireless sensor network due to the facts like more complexity, greater overhead in the case of cryptographic techniques. These issues need to be overcome using efficient technique. Approach: We propose a fuzzy based secure data aggregation technique which was having 3 phases. In its first phase, it performs clustering and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 6 · 17 Mar 2012 · 7,252 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleEnergy Constrained Secure Hierarchical Data Aggregation in Wireless Sensor NetworksV. Bhoopathy, R. M.S. ParvathiProblem statement: Wireless sensor networks, brings out variety of different challenges at energy level, integrity, authentication, communication cost. Approach: In the secure data aggregation techniques, reduction in the energy consumption was not elaborated in detail, since aggregator means of connection to sink was either direct or through other aggregators which need high energy level. Results: We suggest an Energy Constrained … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 9, Issue 6 · 16 Mar 2012 · 7,377 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titlePerformance of Improved Directed Diffusion Protocol for Sensor Networks under Different Mobility ModelsK. E. Kannammal, T. PurusothamanProblem statement: In sensor networks, some routing protocols performance differs under different mobility models. In ns2, there are two kinds of directed diffusion protocols, rate based gradient mechanism (diffusion/rate) and probability based gradient mechanism (diffusion/prob). In this research, we proposed a method to improve the performance of Directed diffusion/prob protocol by adding a new interest message propagation mechanism and analyzed … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 5 · 25 Feb 2012 · 6,749 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleSecure Authentication Technique for Data Aggregation in Wireless Sensor NetworksV. Bhoopathy, R. M.S. ParvathiProblem statement: In Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), serious security threat is caused by node capture attacks where an adversary gains full control over a sensor node through direct physical access. Approach: This creates a high risk of data confidentiality. Results: We propose a secure authentication technique for data aggregation in WSN. During first round of data aggregation, the aggregator upon … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 2 · 24 Jan 2012 · 7,286 accessesView PDFCite

Research ArticleOpen accessPhrase in the titleA Distributed Coverage and Target Tracking Algorithm for Wireless Sensor NetworksM. Senthamilselvi, N. DevarajanProblem statement: Due to communication, processing and energy constraints, tracking in sensor networks creates different challenges. Since existing algorithms utilized the information from all the sensors for tracking, it results in higher expenditure of energy and reduced lifetime for the network. Approach: We propose to develop a distributed coverage and target tracking algorithm for wireless sensor networks. Tracking issue is … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 3 · 6 Jan 2012 · 6,698 accessesView PDFCite
