Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEnhancing Security in E-Health Communications using Multi-Agent SystemRossilawati Sulaiman, Dharmendra Sharma, Wanli Ma, Dat TranProblem statement: In this study, we address the security needs in online communications, specifically in the e-health domain. We focus on how to provide different security strengths to different types of communications in e-health, where each communication transmits different types of information with different levels of sensitivity. Approach: The Multi-Agent System (MAS) approach is used to develop an agent-based system … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 5 · 17 Feb 2012 · 6,981 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Efficient Hand-off Mechanism for Vehicular NetworksM. Dinakaran, P. BalasubramanieProblem statement: In recent times, wireless networks have become ubiquitous and the hotspot research arena. When a mobile node switches from one access network to another network, the node is said to perform a handoff. This transition is a complex and time-consuming task since after transit the mobile node has to obtain a new Care of Address (CoA) from the … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 8, Issue 1 · 3 Nov 2011 · 7,289 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Simulative Study on the Performance Evaluation for Simultaneous and Successive Mobility for Mobile IPv6Ibrahim Abdullah, Mohamed OthmanProblem statement: Mobile Internet Protocol (MIP) is the forms of the backbone for next generation wireless internet technology to provide uninterrupted network service while a node on the move. The original MIP use Home Agent to forward the traffic. Thus, it does not have problem with simultaneous mobility, i.e., the special case when both end nodes are mobile and move … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 12 · 30 Nov 2010 · 6,781 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractOptimization of Clustering Time by a Group of Autonomous Robots Making Use of an Exclusive Multi-MarkingMohamed Rida Abdessemed, Kamel Khoualdi, Azeddine BilamiProblem statement: For solving complex issues, the current tendency goes towards the swarms behaviors, realized on a basis of collective interactions, which results from a cooperative work favoring exchanges between individuals of a same group at microscopic level and allowing the emergence of complex collective behaviors at macroscopic level. Many models were inspired by these attitudes to find simple rules, … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 12 · 9 Nov 2010 · 6,890 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractCohesive Token Passing Algorithm Utilizing Software AgentsA. Fua’ad Abdulrazzak, Shamala SubramaniamProblem statement: The communications domain has utilized the implementation of protocols for a wide spectrum of applications. This encompasses Medium Access Control (MAC) protocols. MAC protocols have been extensively researched from several angles. This encompasses the implementation in the area of Wave Division Multiplexing (WDM) networks and Mobile Adhoc Networks (MANET). The relevance of intelligence in sustaining the pre-requisites for … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 6, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2010 · 7,111 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAgent Based Grid Resource Discovery with Negotiated Alternate Solution and Non-Functional Requirement PreferencesP. Muthuchelvi, G.S. Anandha Mala, V. RamachandranProblem statement: As grid resources are geographically distributed, efficient resource discovery and management has become one of the important requirements. Besides, Grid users are independent identities and negotiation is necessary for reconciling their diverse characteristics. Therefore special mechanism was required to negotiate and discover the required resource or similar resource as an alternative when discovery fails. Moreover the quality of … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 5, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2009 · 7,504 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAn Approach for Detecting Attacks in Mobile Adhoc NetworksV. Madhu Viswanatham, A. A. ChariThe security of data becomes more important with the increased use of commercial applications over wireless network environments. We presented an approach to handle various attacks for wireless networks. There were several problems of security in wireless networks due to intruders and different type of attacks such as Node Isolation, Route Disruption and Resource Consumption. There were better methods and … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2008 · 6,924 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractA Multi-Agent Architecture for QoS Support in Grid EnvironmentAli Rezaee, Amir M. Rahmani, Saeed Parsa, Sahar AdabiGrid computing is emerged as a new distributed computing technology that implements flexible and coordinated resource sharing among dynamic, heterogeneous, unpredictable and geographically distributed collections of resources owned by different individuals and organizations. Due to heterogeneous and dynamic nature of the grid, resource management and application scheduling is a complex undertaking. This paper proposed a multi-agent architecture that addressed resource … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 4, Issue 3 · 31 Mar 2008 · 7,081 accessesView PDFCite
Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractSeamless Handoff Using Mailbox ApproachManpreet Singh, Rajneesh GujralMobile IP is used to keep track of location information and make the data available to the mobile devices anytime, anywhere. Mobile IP has been widely accepted but lacks in providing seamless handoff. We have proposed a framework for wireless network that uses a flexible and adaptive mailbox-based scheme. In this scheme a mailbox associated with each mobile node while … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 4 · 30 Apr 2007 · 7,008 accessesView PDFCite
