Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractDesign Analysis of An Electromagnetic Band Gap Microstrip AntennaM.S. Alam, M.T. Islam, N. MisranProblem statement: Wideband compact antenna is highly demandable due to the dynamic development in the wireless technology. Approach: A simple, compact EBG microstrip antenna is proposed in this study that covers a wideband of 250 GHz and the design is conformal with the 2.45 GHz ISM band (WLAN, IEEE 802.11b and g)/Bluetooth/RFID applications. Results: A 6×6 array of square unit … …American Journal of Applied Sciences, Vol. 8, Issue 12 · 27 Oct 2011 · 7,368 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractEfficient Hybrid Network (Wired and Wireless) Intrusion Detection using Statistical Data Streams and Detection of Clustered AlertsP. Thangaraj, M. ThangavelProblem statement: Wireless LAN IEEE 802.11 protocols are growing rapidly and security has always been a concern with the security of wired network. Wireless networks encountered threats from unauthorized access to network resources, installation of access points and illegal sniffing (refer as classical intrusion threats). In its current hybrid wired and wireless network attacks on the generally distinguish from normal … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 7, Issue 9 · 30 Jul 2011 · 7,165 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractLow Power Phase Locked Loop Frequency Synthesizer for 2.4 GHz Band ZigbeeNesreen Mahmoud Hammam Ismail, Masuri OthmanProblem statement: Wireless communication systems are required for many applications. There are different standards for these systems. IEEE 802.15.4 defines the communication system standard for zigbee. This study discussed designing one of the blocks of zigbee transceiver which is the Phase Locked Loop (PLL). A major target for any communication systems is saving battery power, especially for zigbee as it … …American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Vol. 2, Issue 2 · 30 Jun 2009 · 8,057 accessesView PDF Cite

Research ArticleOpen accessIn the abstractAd Hoc Mobile Wireless Networks Routing Protocols - A ReviewGeetha Jayakumar, G. GopinathMobile ad hoc networks(MANET) represent complex distributed systems that comprise wireless mobile nodes that can freely and dynamically self organize into arbitrary and temporary ad-hoc network topologies, allowing people and devices to seamlessly internet work in areas with no preexisting communication infrastructure e.g., disaster recovery environments. An ad-hoc network is not a new one, having been around in various forms … …Journal of Computer Science, Vol. 3, Issue 8 · 31 Aug 2007 · 115,241 accessesView PDF Cite
